I have tears in my eyes, after reading that. God moves in mysterious ways. I've always said this woman is a phophet. And the fact that she can make such a profound emotional, and spiritual impact with the women she is incarcerated with in the space of just a few weeks show the anointing this woman has on her life. Amazing!

I've listened to this song a few times, and I just can't get in to it. I'm personally more interested to find out how the album version sounds. The production overpowers what she is saying to the point where you can't actually hear all of what she's saying, and to me that's the most important part. Her flow, and the message of what she is saying on the song is on another level. And like the rest of you, I'm dying to hear new music, I just hope she doesn't rush it to the point of it not sounding complete. Lauryn is super-talented, but I wonder whether she has hocked up with producers who reflect her musical genius. It was a similar story with the Fugees reunion in that raps she recorded for the songs were amazing, but the production of the songs didn't fully back her up. However, it's great to hear some conscious rap back in to the domain. And I hope this is the start of her promotional campaign for the new album.

I'm disappointed emancip8urself that you could be disappointed in Lauryn for voting Obama. Black people have fought long and hard for the right to vote, and even still there were a lot of black people who didn't exercise their right to vote, until Obama came in to office. If you don't bother to vote, then you really can't complain. People are very quick to judge Obama, and call him a puppet, however if you are a minority whether that is black, Asian, or Hispanic, working class unable to afford health care, or gay, or even a woman for that matter voting for Obama means a whole lot. I'm not saying he's perfect, I'm not saying he hasn't made mistakes, and I don't agree with every decision he's made but I would much prefer to see America under a democratic government than a republican one. Lauyn's message has always been about being more politically aware and active, and voting is an integral part of that. And I'm glad she's walking her own talk!

Her face is so beautiful, her legs yoo i almost forgot how great they are because she is always covering up. She really looks amazing, can someone tell me how does a person with six kids look like that... It's her spirit. When you take care of yourself spiritually and emotionally it radiates from your being!

Just saw this on twitter: Oprah Winfrey @oprah “@connuhdabaddest: @oprah did Lauryn Hill ever say yes?” not yet.
Guess this confirms that Oprah's team have reached out to Lauryn. I would love to see her on Super Soul Sunday, but I'm guessing that Oprah would want to her interview her for her 'Next Chapter Show.' I have a feeling though that she will only start doing televised interviews when she actually has a new record to promote, its apart of the whole narrative. And without a new record, I doubt whether people will open to hearing her properly.
Lauryn is quite shrewd, and will not be exploited. I wouldn't be surprised if she would ask to see the final edit of the show before it went out on air if she did an interview with Oprah. Only time will tell. As she's been gone for so long, I think her TV apparences will be gradual, as opposed to doing the whole typical 'comeback' promo!
But she might surprise us. I know she good friends with AJ Calloway who works for Extra. He's a really good presenter. I think it would be amazing if she re-united with Trevor Nelson for an in-depth interview. He still talks about her all the time as his music hero.

@beginning...Lol. That was hilarious. I had to comment just to tell you that. But seriously, not to be negative but I don't see that ever happening. Oprah is good but she is a representative of the system that Lauryn hates so much. OWN is struggling. That network needs rating which is why we've seen her interviewing all these pop culture heavy hitters. I can't see Lauryn wanting to be a part of that. You know, exploited for commercial gain. I don't see what incentive there is for Lauryn when she can just speak to her supporters via twitter or Tumblr, and she clearly wants to control her means of communication. The editing process can be a you know what. It seems that L is only going to open up to someone she trusts and someone she feels has good intentions. Not to say Oprah has bad intentions but she certainly has business intentions, which are to capitalize on the mystique and controversy that surrounds Ms. Hill in order to improve her ratings. Just my three cents though. I've been speaking about this for years. If there is anybody who Lauryn should speak with it should be Oprah. Who else would you propose? Diane Sawyer or Barbara Walters? And don't even mention anyone from BET. #KMT# Yes, Oprah has been interviewing people like the Kardashians, and 50 Cent, but if you've been following her network you will have also noticed that she has also successfully launched an amazing TV-Online show called LifeClass, boasting some of the biggest names in the spiritual field such as Iyanla Vanzant, Bishop TD Jakes, Deepak Chopra, and Tony Robbins. And she also has a show called Super Soul Sunday, in which she speaks to other spiritual thought-leaders, and that show has just won an Emmy. You don't hear the media talking much about these shows as its not interested in people becoming spiritually enlightened. Yes, she is doing some celebrity interviews maybe to boast rating but she is also doing some ground-breaking shows that are pioneering new ways of thinking, and showing how we can all live a more spiritual life. You know Lauryn is, and has always been very spiritual. The person who does a televised interview with her needs to interview her from a spiritual perspective or you wont get the best out of her. Maybe after the court case is settled she'll finally open up to Oprah.....but only time will tell!

Looks pretty recent too. Am I the only one loving this pic. She looks like a model at the top of her game. Her beauty never gets old. Just gets more refined!

Thanks guys for backing me on this. I've been thinking about when she makes her comeback, and the sort of shows she might appear on when she is promoting the new album. I remember seeing Erykah Badu on 106 Park last year when she was promoting her new album, and she was talking about why she stripped off her clothes in the video, and although she tried to give them a deeper understanding of its meaning, but they didn't have a clue. They weren't on her level. And my fear is when you interview artists, like real artist of the calibre of someone like Erykah, and Lauryn they don't actually get the best out of them because they are not intelligent enough to engage with them. There are very rare television interviews in which musicians can really talk about their music in artistic terms, and what the industry is really like. And that is why Oprah would be good to interview, because it would be a real conversation between two intelligent women!

As you know the Oprah Winfrey show is ending this May. She is currently asking her viewers who they would like to see on her show before it ends. Although Lauryn hasn't put out the new album yet, it would be great if Oprah could interview her. In a strange way Oprah kinda reminds me of Lauryn, in terms of their knowledge and wisdom. If we can bring the two of them together for an intimate conversation I think it would be incredibly insightful, and would certainly clear up all the rumours that have been swirling around for years!!! If you agree write to Oprah's team: www.oprah.com/ownshow/plug_form.html?plug_id=3337311

Wow. This interview was like 2 minutes, and yet it so inspiring. I'm telling you when she's makes a full comeback and starts doing propper full-length televised interviews she is going to ruffle quite a few feathers, and wake a few people up. Every word, every sentence, the content of what she is talking about is what is desperately lacking in the music industry. I'm telling you she is like a walking phophet.
I loved it when she said that some people need to get back in their seats of power, lol. I second that!

She looks amazing. Although I know what the blogs are going to say. People are still complaining about her changing the arrangements, but the real problem is people not being open to embracing change!
