People need to stop talking about her voice being raspy. The fact is unlike most female musicans she sings and raps. And the fact that she raps sometimes puts a strain on her voice. She even said it herself in a recent interview.
Further people are comparing her voice to how it sounded 10 years ago. She was a girl when she first started and now she is a woman. People's voices change. Get over it!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed watching the video. Although they are kinda talking about her as if she doesnt exist anymore. But again this just shows you how much she is missed and the impact she has made on the music industry!

What a wonderful moment. It's nice to see that in spite of much a long absence from the music scene, there are still many inside the industry who are rooting for her to come back!

Just found a beautiful clip of Lauryn singing happy birthday to her youngest daughter Sara. Her voice I must say sounds amazing. Short but very moving! www.youtube.com/watch?v=ov3Zhlo0hus

This is the best news I've heard this year. I havent wanted to get my hopes up for fear of dissapointment, but this sounds very promising. The fact that it might be televised or streamed all indicate this she preparing for a serious comeback in 2011.
I wouldn't be surprised if she plays new music too. Pras has said he has heard some new recordings from her, so it would be great if she would use this as an opportunity to unveil new music to the public. Either way I am increibly excited and wish I could get tickets!

I loved hearing her sing The Passion at the end. I always find it interesting that when she leaves America she tends to sing more newer songs post the MEOL and The Score. She's seems to be confident about sharing music that isn't the songs that people know so well. I hope she plays a similar set if she comes to London this year!

Best recorded album I've heard. I really heard the points she raised about not being sure to release material that she feels she has evolved past. I think she needed time to assemble the right group of musicians around her to feel that she had the right support around her.
She still seems reluctant to put out another album, maybe she would feel more comfortable in putting out an EP rather than a full-length album. But most importantly she does seem as if she's weighing up her options. She is a wise woman and will make the right decision that suits her!

This was a special moment. I can't believe she brought all her kids on stage. That must have been an emotional performance. And I also think its great Mary, Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Alicia Keys all came out to support her. After all these years, people are still routing for her. It was great moment and the highlight of the entire concert for me!

She looks beatiful with straight or natural hair.
She has however been looking extra radiant, which is a very good sign!

I was quite shocked to see her uploading videos of herself, really didnt think Lauryn would allow it, however you have to remember that she is also a teenager. Most young girls have a Facebook, Youtube, or Twitter page. She looks a lot like Lauryn and with a little training she could actually be quite a good singer. Check out these videos below:

This article is incredibly encouraging. There is a reason for the positive reviews she has been receiving lately. I think after the 2007 tour she has re-evaluated her relationship with her audience and it has helped her to reconnect with her fans. We have to remember she had been gone for a long time, and there were many fans who did not welcome her with open arms because they felt they she had rejected them by not giving them another album.
Much of her performances post the Miseducation was a confrontation with the audience. She had evolved as an artist and had a new message to share with her audience but many people were not open to receiving it. I think this is also the reason why she has ceased to play new music post her 2005 concerts. Having said that in the two years since she's been away she's seems to have returned with a new-found inner peace. Factors that might result in her releasing a new album?

Thanks for the amazing links. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was at the Fugeees back in 2005 so it brought back a lot of good memories. I will be adding them to my favourites on YouTube!
