Wow. Her beauty really shines through in these pictures. She looks happy and healthy!
So funny because most people were commenting on what she was wearing as opposed to her looking happy. No wonder she's in no hurry to return to the music industry. And further more what we she be returning to?
These blog sites do nothing more to navigate our attention from what we really should be focusing on. And that is talent. Regardless of what they're wearing! That being said I am still looking forward to her touring. I've got a feeling its gonna be BIG

If reports are believed to be true the Fugees could be re-forming for a benefit concert for the victims of the Haiti Hurricane.
Like many of you I wasn't supportive of this idea as both Wyclef and Pras made some derogatory remarks about Lauryn which were not necessary and quite disrespectful. However I think that they both have had time to reflect on what they said, and in the context of the Haiti crisis petty feuds might be out aside.
If they do put their differences aside and get on stage again to perform together this could be historic.
What are your thoughs?....

I've heard excerpts from this interview some years ago on YouTube, but hearing it in its eternity was even more interesting. Makes you really understand why she has retreated from the music industry. The level of resistance and non-acceptance she continues to come up against must have been overwhelming.
If journalist re-acted to her so strongly I can only imagine what the record execs at Colombia said to her. No wonder why she's reluctant to put new music out.
Funnily enough though I think people would be more open to it now as there's more diversity in music, Lauryn was just ahead of her time!

I've been looking for the Jazz Festival, St. Lucia - BBC Interview (2002) with Lauryn Hill. It was uploaded in the audio section but it is in a RAM format. Does anyone have it in MP3 format?

Hmmm, that was throughly interesting. I would love to see another interview with her. Jokes aside I think there is some truth in the quotes that were posted! And it explains a lot, espcially why theres been no music from her, the record dont think its commercial enough!

Awww, that was such a heartfelt performance. She had a tear in her eye when she sung that, and I had one too.
I saw a clip of this on before they were rockstars a few years ago, so it was nice to see the full clip!

'Randolph: I sang with her until 2006. One of my last conversations with Ms. Hill was about her feeling like there’s no room for her music and people biting and stealing the formula and making it into something dishonest. And my words for her were, “You changed my life in a day. Whoever you feel out there is mimicking you, the Lauryn I know would show these ho’s how it’s done.”
I found this to be the most moving quote from the article. I think this is one of the dilemmas that she's confronted with. She doubts whether there is a place for her music biz, she basically feels that it will misused, but I just know that if she could get some of her confidence back and get with the right people who can help her she would be back on top!

Well, I sat down for half an hour and read it.
Made me feel kinda sad. I was hoping she might put out an album later this year to coincide with the autumn tour but I don't think that's likely that we'll hear another album from her. I was kinda hoping that the whole baby rumour was just a rumour because it will further delay the release of a new album. What seems sad is that she seems to lost everything. Even when I saw her back in 2005 someone in the audience asked what she did was all the wealth she generated from the Misedducation and she said that she gave it all away. She said that because she was having such a good time she didn't spend her money sensibly. So that's why I personally believe that she has had to move in with her mum which is sad.
I think there's apart of her that wants to make a comeback but shes got a huge responsibility to her 5 kids who are all under 12. And since Rohan doesn't live with her it sounds as if she is functioning as a single mother. And whilst she declined to comment I think there is some truth in this article. You cant fabricate an article from nothing.
I wonder what the future holds for her? There so much left in her that we never got a chance to fully see, I just hope we will someday....

woow im so going!!!! Il take my DV camera and try film whole thing 4 yal. I hope she comes 2 london aswel then i will see her twice or maybe more times I LOVE LAURYN SO MUCH!!!! OMG, this is big, even though I'm in London I think this concert will be big. I think she has learnt a lot from the last tour. I think this time round she won't do as many shows, so her voice will be in a better condition. And hopefully she will sing some new songs post-unplugged like she did back in 2005. And Sengun, give me shout if you hear about her coming to London, I've got a feeling this ones gonna be big!

I do very much doubt she would ever work with Kanye West Erm, I wouldn't be so sure. There were some stories circulating around the press that she worked with Kanye on a couple of songs back in 2005. I think she's definitely worked with John Legend on some songs which is how the so high remix came about. The Erykah collabo is bullshit though, she hasnt seen her for years. Her playing Rita would be Big, but nothings been confirmed yet, guess we can only speculate...
