"We Got Love", a song performed during the Kanye West appearence on SNL, supposed to be on Yandhi album. Featuring Teyana Taylor, the song was supposed to appear on K.T.S.E. Taylor's album, but didn't make the final cut due to the sample. If it was performed on the SNL show, we can suppose MLH gave her agree to the sample and the release of the song.
The sample is a part of a speech by MLH about love, it's beautiful. Teyana Taylor is underated whereas she is very talented. The lyrics are beautiful and the instrumentation very simple, a very cool song.

Pleaaaase ask about a new album or a compilation of all her unreleased materiel, what Phil Nicolo says one year later about it. Tell her we would love to hear her acoustic songs (Conform to love, I Remember, ...) in studio version !

Interesting !
When she is recording in the studio, it's not Neurotic Society but Consumerism. So, this song was written a decade ago ! What a surprise

I want and i wait for a new studio album. Or a live album, it could be a good compromise between touring and record songs in studio. But i'm very tired to wait this since years. And i begin to find ridiculous touring with the same 20 years old songs: Miseducation, Fugees songs, even re-orchestrated. Fortunately she has had acoustic songs, during this last year, like MTV Unplugged songs and Conform to love, Love is stronger than pride, etc ... I'm also tired to see videos of lives on Youtube, filmed by fans. For instance: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dm1VlOwrStc the performance was perfect, but it's soooo disappointing to see it in bad quality (i talk about the audio) So, i wait for something from Lauryn: a HQ recording of a concert recorded by her staff, a new studio or live or acoustic album... Pleaaaaase !

According to reports Lauryn is touring to finance her album. I will just comment this ; for me, it's not the best way to finance her album, because it costs money (musicians to pay, equipment, concert hall to rent, ...) and lots of time (rehearsals, ...). Notice that some videos of live performance has been posted on various Youtube accounts which had very little subscribers ; for example, the live performance of "Love is Stronger than Pride" was posted on the Howard Theatre Youtube account: 1200 subscribers; the video was posted a year ago; there are now approximately 60 000 views. Let's do a little operation. Proportionnally to the number of subscribers, if this video would have been posted on the "laurynhillvevo" account with their 74000 subscribers, it would have approximately 3 millions of views. With the Youtube monetization, it represents 3000 dollars of incomes .... The acoustic performances of LH have a beautiful success on Youtube ; so, i think if they want money to finance the album and preserve time to work it, they should post some videos of live and acoustic performances of songs like I Gotta Find Peace of Mind, Conform to Love, Love is Stronger than pride, .... on the vevo account and monetize them, and, why not, release the mp3 version of them on Itunes. The same thing should have been done for "A Cradle in Bethelehem" or for the live performance of Water, posted some days ago by the producer Trackhouse.

What a beautiful version of Like the water !
I would love a new album with a studio version of the last live version of Like the water, I Gotta Find Peace of Mind, Mr Intentional, Conformed to Love, Oh Jerusalem, Mystery of Iniquity, War in the mind and Damnable Heresies.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nOCW6JL14oI don't understand why did they post this performance now (it's on Youtube since years...) on the VEVO account of Ms Hill. I also remember that few weeks ago, a video with the same title was posted on Ms Hill's VEVO account but there were a mistake about the video (the video didn't show Lauryn Hill but a guy singing). The video was deleled few hours/days after.

Thanks ! It's cool but if I correctly understand this article, she has already recorded around twenty (if it's not more...) new songs ("enough material to built up an album"), she is still in the studio according to this man.... but she still doesn't want to release them in the next months. Where is the label in this story ? The label got to convince MLH to release them quickly. It looks like MLH still recorded dozens of songs, the label pays on and on this recording sessions and doesn't want to release an album to compensate this costs. It's beautiful to see a label gives lots of freedom to an artist in his creation, but we wait on and on :/ Phil Nicco isn't just any man. Lauryn isn't a manufactured act where the record label just puts her in the studio with beat makers, and push out an album 3 weeks later. This isn't Rihanna lol. Lauryn will most likely work until she feels she has the quality songs to release an album, in which she will then send the work to Sony for approval. Where they would then sign off on. Lauryn is a perfectionist. She's obviously working on new music, as what I've been told from a little birdie "Guarding the gates" "Black rage" "I had to Walk" etc are all recorded songs. It's interesting how they mentioned D'Angelo as he released an album with songs that are as old as many of Lauryn's unreleased songs, where their demo records had been on the net for years. So the touring has been used for financing the album... Lauryn is coming, have no fear! Thank you for your point of view and your informations ! It's quite comforting. Yes, i'm agree with you: Lauryn is not Rihanna, with her one album by year. But she works on this album project since more than 1 year. Since approximately the end of 2012, with the songs Black Rage, Fearless Vampire Killer. We are 3 years after, no official announce for the album. 3 years, it's long for an album, especially if the songs are written since years (since 10 years for Guarding the gates, I had to walk). I know a long time of recording is good for quality (ex: the 5 years between Thriller and Bad). But it's so long, tiring.

OMG Edit: I just hope it's a videoclip for a single from her new album, not for one of her songs of Nina Revisited album. I hope it's not a videoclip for Feeling good

I like all of the Ms Hill's songs, particularly "I've Got a Life" and "Black is the color of my true love's hair", "Feeling good" is also a very successful cover. But, I don't like "Ne me quitte pas" for several reasons: firstly, I am french and I don't like the Ms Hill pronunciation of french language. Secondly, i think she doesn't sing rightlky in this, in particular the first 30 seconds. All the instrumentations are worked and beautiful. I have not well listen yet the other songs, but the Intro by Lisa Simone is very beautiful, I love it. "I Put a Spell on You" is very disappointing, I prefer the Nina Simone version, with her "severe voice"
