And speaking of new music... Miss Lauryn Hill has finally recorded something new for the public.
"Lose Myself" a track she recorded specifically for the Surf's Up soundtrack will be available for sale on June 5. Surf's Up is a PG rated, family type, animated flick about a penguin that was so successful at surfing that he was known the whole world round.
To escape the spotlight he fakes his own death only to return to the game 10 years later.
Word is that Miss Lauryn Hill (what staffers at Columbia are required to call her... even in casual conversation amongst each other) actually wanted to do the track... being a mother of four.
It can be said that she wanted to do it because it symbolically mirrors her own life.
The downside of all of this is... y'all gonna have to wait a day or two for the track. Them mofos want it all encrypted so peeps can't right click/save as....
I'll post the track shortly.... and I have been told to let the fans know not to fall in love with the style of the new song because it's very different from her forthcoming album.
