Don't you think it's funny that this song is called "Lose Myself" if you remember Beyonce saying something like "I will never lose myself like Lauryn Hill". Not that there is an actuall connection, I just noticed... She might be dissing Beyonce...man i would love to hear that. I don't hate Beyonce, she's great but that comment was out of line. You can't judge someone you don't even know like that

Naaa, it's a coincidence. There's no way this song will be about Beyonce's statement. The title "Lose Myself" is about the escape from the public and overcoming the "public persona". That's what I would think regarding Lauryns story as an analogy to the penguin.
I wonder if she is going to rap. I don't think so, the song might rather be in a sad and melancholy tone. I hope this Song will not be just a little contribution to a venture like "Selah" and "The Passion", but since it is said, that Ms Hill relates to the penguin and the penguin is coming back after 10 years, it could give us hope, that she is returning.
By the way, these animated movies lie "Ice Age" and so are really popular with children and adults. It is a brilliant and original move of Lauryn Hill to start a comeback, if it is one, like this.

There are no "coincidences" when it comes to Ms Hill and the projects that she takes on! NONE!

Surf's Up (Music From The Ocean Picture) premieres several brand-new songs including "Lose Myself," from the multi-platinum Grammy-winning recording artist Lauryn Hill as well as new tracks from 311, Sugar Ray, Ken Andrews, Nine Black Alps and Big Nose (featuring Jonny Polonsky and members of Rage Against The Machine).
"We are thrilled to be a part of the return of Ms. Lauryn Hill!," exclaimed Liza Richardson, an avid surfer, DJ and music supervisor for "Surf's Up." "Apparently, she related to Big Z's story -- reaching the top, checking out for a while, doing some soul searching and re-emerging with joy -- and wrote and recorded a real celebratory summer jam session for 'Surf's Up.' We're glad to have Lauryn back where she belongs!"

I haven't heard the song, but this sounds like Hill has done something masterful her. I am sure that this is not just a personal statement, but also something for her children.
I would not be surprised if her next album drops on the exact anniversary of The Mis Ed.
L is back to leave a mark for sure!
2008! Wow!

This could really be. If there would have been a fugees reunion, it would have been ten years after the score. Lauryn Hill initiatet the return of fugees in the first place and later decided to step back. 2008 then ten years after the first album, just like the new fugees album would have been ten years after the first. Who knows, she might really come back next year!
