s**t! WYCLEF JEAN BLAMES HILL FOR FUGEES REUNION DIFFICULTIESWYCLEF JEAN has blasted former bandmate LAURYN HILL for ruining any chance of a FUGEES reunion by demanding too much. The three-piece - comprising Jean, Hill and Pras Michel - reunited briefly in 2004 and 2005 with a European tour and rumours of a new album in the works. However, Jean insists a future collaboration is out of the question unless Hill changes her attitude and accepts her original role in the hip-hop group. He says, "Lauryn is straight up the problem, bro. She wants to be a producer. Don't come telling us how to chop up beats so you can get credit for it. "If the Fugees wanna come back, and Lauryn wanna come backā¦ you can't break the format. Don't come back and be like, 'I wanna produce a beat.' That's like me saying I wanna sing an R&B vocal. "When we was working on the album, I was like, (to Lauryn), 'You need to do this like this.' (And) she says, 'How do you know what's relevant? I haven't heard anything from you in the past like three, four years?' The minute she said that I was like, 'I gotta go back to working.'" Michel has voiced the same concerns in the past, telling SOHH.com a Fugees reunion is "straight dead". He too blamed Hill and "some issues she needs to deal with". The Fugees unofficially split in 1997 to pursue solo careers. That's upsetting to hear, that they don't trust one another with beats. I don't understand, why can't Lauryn produce a couple songs, then pras a couple and clef a couple. It's fair and no one is stealing anyones credit.

It's fair and no one is stealing anyones credit. Yo! Aloo if you had a group and your Drummer couldn't sing as good as your dog but you sung like an Angel would you let him sing Lead in your band at concerts and on the Album you guys are producing. Everyone operates within the gifts or calling they have to try to fit yourself in anothers place when you don't have the abilities they were naturally given is really....greedy. It would be different if she had talent in the area of making beats equivalent to Wyclef but her strengths lie in other places( we all know she can write and sing better then Wyclef or Pras and her rap skills are certainly on par-I would argue that she is the single most talented person in the group )you can't do it all. Otherwise whats the point of having a group. If you look at SWV that was exactly the argument-3 singers, two of them were ok for your local church choir but nothing special and one with professional talent. The other two were just there for the ride. One could actually argue this for the Fugees as well since any of us can look at the fan base on this site and see who most people login to read and talk about. In case you don't know it's Lauryn hands down, even more the the group as a whole and she hasn't did nothing solid since unplugged. Never the less I think they all have the potential to bring quality inspirational music to the table with consistency and that is something you cannot say about the background singers in SWV. I bought Fugees for the few tracks that Lauryn had on the album. I actually liked Wyclef and Pras'es performance better on Blunted on Reality, ever since they split I have been with Lauryn. Well I have strayed off of my point long enough, bottom line is Lauryn as talented as she is can't have it all, she can't be a ball hog thats greedy and thats childish. To tell you the truth I don't think she has really lived a day past that time where the Fugees broke apart. I don't think she has been able to let it go because the pain is like a wound that have never been closed or resolved. Just look at the last video where Lauryn is asked about the Fugees getting back together again, there is pain in her voice and her eyes are almost teary. On the internet there is a video from her college days, she needs to somehow be able to regain the joy of those days and the peace of mind she had when first set out to right Misedjucation. Cause right now she looks like she reaching her breaking point.

I get what you mean modivated1. I just want to try and see how i can get my mind across this mess. Right now, i see adults behaving like children. I'm forcing myself not to admit it, but it's the fact. Lauryn is always telling her fans to confront, not retreat. All i see is retreat at the moment. ;(
