I'm assuming it'll be an interview, i've never seen a performance on his show? It's just one-on-one talks in an empty studio, sometimes he'll show a clip.
Makes sense for her to go on such a classy and established show to do an interview, but I have to say I am not a fan of Charlie. :/ His format is cool and I like that it's quiet and free of pre-planned *~*spontaneous*~* stories, viral moments, and an audience laughing loudly at everything. But he's a bit of an old dinosaur, has a sometimes simplistic worldview and interrupts his guests almost every sentence. I'd much rather see her on Larry King or similar, where she could really get her point out.
HOWEVER I will be watching with baited breath!!! Something must be cooking, with the website down, a new (old) track dropped, public performances, and going on a mainstream talk show platform.

If she refused to be interviewed, i can't imagine héros going to Charlie rose. I think it's a performance. I'd rather read an interview in Wax Poetics (amazing magazine initially for crate diggers and vinyl collectors but now for all music lovers") or see her in the Web magazine Takeitback tv. They interviewed E.Badu and Georgia Anne Muldrow among others. I'm assuming it'll be an interview, i've never seen a performance on his show? Anyone else notice her newly released stuff is titled with a (Version) at the end? Is this in reference to possible future versions of songs? Version 2, Version 3......?

I think its a reference to how the song was recorded/mixed. A lot of artists record multiple versions of a song before they present the finished product. Using Rebel as an example, the version that was released recently could be just a song for protest purposes while there may be another version with extra production, background vocals, etc. that may be a part of a larger project like an album (mere speculation).

During her concert in LA that's streaming on Tidal currently. She gave a brief history of Rebel before performing the song. She told the audience that she recorded it again because she was approached for the song to be a part of the film "Birth of a nation", but it didn't happen for whatever reasons.

wow Amazing performance ! the QUEEN is back to her throne ...even Nicki minaj knows what's up lol when you meet the queen you gotta bow down no matter who you think you are and Lauryn seemed unbothered like a true queen hahaha It's a good thing her song was not associated with the film "birth of a nation" anyway ...

I have the clip of it. I'ma try to get to uploading my footage soon. I actually captured more than 15 minutes. I didn't realize how much I captured lol, after a while though I gave up lol. Wait, is Charlie Rose out here in Los Angeles? If so, that's probably why her driver was burning rubber lol. My bad Lauryn lol. Hope I didn't make you late lol.
