Lauryn hill got hit with half million dollars state tax. I just read that on google news. Is that old or new? Im confused.

damn, well it happens. If she address it, she'll address it, but this is personal business that the media likes to air out. It's always the "negative stuff." Whatever, I'm sure it'll get straightened out. I HATE Bossip, like seriously. They are so destructive.

It's low key enough to where she doesn't have to address it, but at the same time, idk, I don't think it's something required or something that should be demanded of her to do. I mean it is personal, even though it got aired out, I mean you know. I think if the context is not right or is not accurate or whatever, she may address it, idk. |

I hope this is just intox because that 's the last thing she needs right now .Many people owed money or even stole money but they never got locked up .why they harass her ?

Let's just hope she's doing alright and things get straightened out if it looks the way it looks on the surface. We all have problems and wouldn't want them aired out (messed up), so I support my folks even through the seemingly tough times. It's what we gotta do. Ridicule (like on Bossip) is exactly what I expect from infected minds who are unhappy with their own lives. I'm sure they wouldn't want people rumbling through their problems. Lauryn's a trooper though, she'll be fine, but she ain't made of concrete lol, the sister got feelings like errbody else. But there are some things you come to expect from certain subsets and you let it roll off/becomes numb at a certain point. Your tag didn't come through, so it may might be case sensitive?? idk |

I am so annoyed right now people on Instagram posting this story. People mocking her that Prince wont bail her out this time. What proof do they have that Prince helped financially, Van Jones with his big mouth. People forget that she paid money owed but was still sentenced. They are even bashing the Marleys. I just realize that people run with stories without fact check. I never get to understand how she finds herself in such compromising situations its not good at all. Every time i read anything negative about her i just want to turn back the time to 1999, so that she can start afresh. This means prosperous career, a billionaire man by her side lol and a life filled with love and happiness. She deserves so much better considering her middle class background with loving and caring parents. People dragging her on social media as if she is some hoodrat it's so annoying.

I think it's a Judgement lien, which means a lawsuit ensued and the creditor won. Looks like she may have self-represented. Anyway, I'm sure it will be worked out.

I wanted to address the recent reports in the media that I have new tax issues. This is not a new situation, I'm still taking care of past taxes. This has been an ongoing process, and I have been working steadily towards a resolution. It has been an uphill battle, but we're getting over the hump. I left the game, I wanted out, the way it was organized needed adjustment. When you eat a lot of other people's debts like I did, and become financially responsible for as many people as I did, a break like the one I took was necessary. It took bold, courageous moves, and cost me certain economic comforts. But it's getting better every day, thank God, and I'm living a much more liberated existence because of it.

Very refreshing that she is addressing this plainly and in her own words. I appreciate the honestly, "down to earth" ness and the disclosure itself, knowing that she is not obligated to address this as its a personal matter. I am glad to hear that things are getting better by the day. This certainly becomes apparent to me when I observe her more recent performances. I am happy to hear that she as a human being (not a robotic singing and rapping machine) is living a more liberated existence. Happiness is priceless.
