Everyone seems to be having a rant about something and I feel left out, here is my opinion on the recent spate of cancelations.
Everything seems to be a bit last minute dot com!
Let's first remember that Ms Hill has six children which she actively parents, has come out of the chokee and lost a member of her band all in a short period of time. Plus you know regular life shit too.
Nigeria - cancelled - transport arrangements not fulfilled by promoter
Israel - cancelled - unable to set up concert in Palestine
Palestine - shelved - Logistics
London - set up at short notice - cancelled - previous legal situation resulting in MLH not been able to enter the UK.
St Tropez - set up at really short notice - cancelled - no reason given.
I think the underlying cause for all the above is piss poor planning and logistics caused by everything been decided at the last minute or later.
The schedule was crazy to start with it involved going backwards and forwards from Italy to Spain multiple times with a stop off in London lol
How is the stage equipment moved - last video I saw there was a giant harp on stage ! Getting a last minute plane ticket for one is easy getting 20 plus excess luggage not so lol !
Add the current tradegy at the French end of the channel tunnel and the inaccessibility of St Tropez and things get worse !
Only two major things have changed to prevent access to the UK since last year. We have a new government and Ms Hill has new band members
I think it more likely one of the new band members had a visa problem, admission can still be granted it just takes time, she never said the past issue was hers
Was a bit surprised when the St Tropez gig popped up but I thought, you roll with the punches ! Go go go ! glad I didn't drive 16 hours there int crappy little car with no air con.
It was a bit odd that gig was cancelled - but I did wonder how they were going to get everything and everyone there without a boat or helicopter in that time frame.
Good news is show in Rota looked fire !
