i found this one today:
The long-awaited new Fugees album seems to have been pushed back from its December release date to early 2006, according to the band's website, but still, why am I not hearing the first single, ''Take It Easy,'' all over the radio? It seems like they released it to little fanfare a couple months ago, and then... crickets. (At left is lead singer Lauryn Hill performing with the band earlier this month in Stockholm.)
Okay, the song's a bit lacking in the old-school vibe that marked the '90s Fugees material, but that should only help it get played on present-day playlists. C'mon, people, it's the first new Fugees tune in 10 years, and it rocks, so why isn't it as ubiquitous right now as ''Jingle Bells''?
Theories, anyone?

yeah the song is really sux bad. they waited way too long for this album. Alot of young folks dont even know whow they are now. We dont care. Now lets get Guns N Roses out with a new album. Now that will rock. Now I have go to meet alot of hot single chicks on www.singlesPalace.com, free to join and free to use to meet singles on.

I like the Fugees and their solo projects, but they waited too long to put out their new song. I have heard Take it Easy on Sirius Satellite radio(free plug there) and it really is average; I was disappointed.

I think the Fugees are too full of themselves and need to give the fans what they want and not give us some half-baked song, they are awesome but they have to prove it too us again, after all these years people have forgotten the Fugees, people don't care and they're not giving us a reason too.

It's over now that's why. LH hasn't made a good song since her album and Wyclef is just boring now. We don't really need Fugees anymore

i dig the new single. i think its hot, but the Fugees need to re-introduce themselves. and in the current music arena...thats gonna be hard.

The Fugees were terribly overrated to begin with. Their hits were either covers or sample based hits. Not to mention Take It Easy is horrific. I know a radio station programmer who says the fan reaction to that song is almost one hundred percent negative.

LOVE LAURYN HILL, but im not so much interested in the fugees... I haven't even heard the single yet. But there's been so many Lauryn Hill/Fugee false alarms about new material and release dates that I can't get my hopes up until I have the actual CD in my hands.

Dude, TEN YEARS for a follow up! Isn't the rule of pop music to strike while the iron is hot? A decade's worth of solo albums by Wyclef and Lauren (and man was that unplugged album SO not worth the money!) have got many of us a little bit Fugeed out. Add to that, Wyclef's ego has gotten to Bono size without Bono sized hits, and you've got the second album by Arrested Development or the second album by the diggable planets aka dookie on the street because it just sits there and stinks...

Little too little, little too late. They jumped the shark and the fans have responded. I love Lauryn Hill and the Fugees but they are so full of themselves and have taken so long that they have not been forgotten but dismissed.

It would be okay if it weren't for the fact its been so long. Perhaps anything would have disappointed.
The members have to start getting along or else this CD will never see the light of day. If the rest of it is like "take it easy", that might not be a bad thing. The Fugees legacy doesn't need that.

If I remember correctly, their hit was a cover song. They should record another Roberta Flack song. What could they do with "The First Ever I Saw Your Face"?

I don't like the song either. I was shocked by how little I liked it.

Well i got one theory. There new song just plain sucks. I havent been waiting ten years for take it easy! I ve been waiting ten years for the great fugees comeback!
