I read on another board that something happened in Norway. I wonder why they didn't want to call her Ms. Hill. That's weird!

Whats goin on? Her Hair seem to get shorter throughout this tour. In Brasil she still had a afro-ponytail, now here hair are barely a fro at all. wow...the new look, the smile, the huge amount of coversongs. Lauryn Hill is definitly in some new phase. She seems nothing like Ms. Hill in Stuttgart or Chicago Has she ever played guitar during this tour?

yeah i noticed that too, her hair in norway seem almost like the begining of dreds, like she's shapping them ...well its good that she's happy and smiling..i mean looking back at the chicago performance in 2005, she didnt even smile, their was no vibe...it was almost as if she was bored singing the song...now she's jumping around...smilling her arse off....but most off she looks like she's havin fun...well come back Ms Hill...

Scandinavians are generally racist though! I read once that in either Norway or Sweden there is a large group of white supremacists (KKK) so I'm sure they were racist to her. Good that she stood up for herself!
You can delete this after reading.

I don't think it's ignorant or stupid. Actually, I've met quite a few and I have one in my family by marriage so that my post in my opinion is accurate! In any case, I did ask for my post to be deleted. Next time try being diplomatic.

I have a lot of friends studying in Europe, and they never mention racism. I believe there is more racism in America than Europe.

LMAO This sentence is pretty stupit in my opinion... its like saysin "Amercians are generally racist" just because there are some Americans that are in the KKK. Of course, rasism can be found in any country, but your sentence is ignorant because it paints a wrong picture of Scandinavia. And an unjustified one too. Next time, try to see things in an nuanced light.

Okay everyone. Settle down!
We don't know why specifically that she wanted only Black security. It might just be that she felt more comfortable, period. And if so, there is nothing wrong with that. That does not make her hate or dislike white people. In certain circumstances, particularly when you are a person of color in certain environments, your instincts (also depending on the level of unfamiliarity) might tell us to go with what feels most natural, comfortable, famliar.
Also, yes, there is racism in America, and to a large degree it is overt. However, there is also covert racism. And not because it is not readily discussed openly or frequently, doesn't mean it is any less present. A mistake that we often make. Infact, the person who is most traumatized by racism, is the one in the latter instance, because they never saw it coming. They were side-swipped.

This is what the articel says:
-She only wanted black security guards. -Everyone backstage had to call her miss Hill, and nobody could talk too her before she talked to them. -The guards was not allowd too look at her. -She got very angry if anyone forgot to call her miss hill -She did not want too go back to the stage after the power stopped at the start of show, but the crew convinced her to continu.
I do not know if all off this is true, but thats what the articel says. (sorry for bad english)
