The strange voice of Lauryn

has someone of you thought on the fact that Lauryn from some time to this part doesn't have the same voice of first?? in the sense is always very beautiful, but warmer and deep!!! how come??

I think I have spoken on this subject before. Because I love singing and I am learning about it, I know that as a vocalist, any stress of the body or the mind can greatly affect the voice. Lauryn has four children, and she's dealing with herself( as she tells us several ways in magazines and the unplugged album), so her lifestyle alone can be stressful for her. Example, rumour has it that Mariah Carey has to rest a whole day before a performance, and she minimizer her talking so that she can save her voice. On the unplugged album, Lauryn said that she has to be a prisoner when she's on tour. She has to tell her kids "be quiet, mommy has to sleep," all so that she can maintain her voice. She also said that the reality of it is, is that sometimes when she's stayed up all night she sounds rough in the morning. Heaven knows I want to hear Lauryn Hill at her clearest point. Her raspiness sounds great to me as a fan, but I'd like to hear her because I love her and I want everyone else to love her. But I think that's just it, people should love her for her, and her voice , whether it's raspy or clear is a big part of her that she can't leave out. On unplugged she talked about not leaving 1/3 of her out and only 2/3's of her could be accepted. Again I want to hear her at her clearest point too, but I rather have her bee free and hear her raspy, than to hear her clear and have her to be a prisoner. Last but not least, if you listen to her live concerts that these people on THIS website has posted up, and posted in the fugees g mail account, in 2004 in Chicago at the Congressional Thatre, she sang alot of songs. One of the songs she sang was Just like the water. Her voice is remarkably clear!!!!!!!!!!! That's one of the most beautiful songs that I've ever heard her sing.
