The self-proclaimed "King of the South" is up for Lyricist of the Year and Best Live Performance.
Rapper T.I. leads the nominations for this year's BET (Black Entertainment Television) Hip-Hop Awards, with nine nods.
T.I. - real name Clifford Harris - was named in the most categories, including Lyricist of the Year, Track of the Year and Best Live Performance.
Rap rival 50 Cent - real name Curtis Jackson - received nominations for Track of the Year and Best Hip-Hop Video both for his hit track "I Get Money."
Hip-hop star Kanye West also picked up two nods for Best Video for his hit track "Stronger" and Lyricist of the Year.
The awards will be handed out on October 17.
