Thought I'd share this y'all Lauryn Hill has announced the “MLH Caravan: A Diaspora Calling!” tour, which starts at the end of August. Find the dates below. Each show will feature different performances from "artists throughout the African diaspora," according to a press release. In a statement, Hill said: “The MLH Caravan allows me to continue the theme of unity and celebration of the many facets of cultural and artistic beauty throughout the African diaspora while on tour this summer and fall. In these days of tension, tumult and transition, an exchange of this kind can yield direction, expression, understanding and empowerment as well as connection, self Love and appreciation that hopefully overflows into our respective communities.” The special guests, along with additional dates, will be announced in the coming weeks. The tour is presented by Tidal and Live Nation. Previously, Hill threw the “Diaspora Calling!” charity festival in Brooklyn. Performers included Machel Montano (Trinidad), Stephen "Ragga" Marley (Jamaica), Stonebwoy (Ghana), and more. Her new tour will explicitly reference the original festival.

If y'all ain't copped that Stephen Marley lp... it's a good album (I can do without Iggy though lol). I been waiting a while for him to drop it. Sexy Rakim is on a song lol. How much y'all wanna bet Lauryn gon' wait until MISED is 20 years old to release a new lp lol (jk, IDK) ... maybe she'll be kind enough to drop a new song with her new tour?? :-) lol (not necessarily one she's considering for her new album)

jah yes she partnered up with them again. I don't know if it will be streamed on TIDAL, although that'd be pretty nice. Maybe that's asking too much of TIDAL lol, LAURYN could charge access though. That's a damn game changer, you know? for people who live in other places or for those who wanted to go to the concert but couldn't. They could view it live, like they did with the inaugural Diaspora Calling! I think I like where this is going. Hmm, if they can pull this off, this could change the way concerts are held/viewed and put TIDAL on a different map. Pros and Cons to everything, so I'm sure they'd have to work all that out. The way TIDAL has live streaming of events/concerts reminds me of YAHOO LIVE. I think TIDAL'S membership will increase with continued special content like this. At first people were mad about it lol, but I think it's working now. They certainly have a leg UP than other streaming platforms.
