Will lauryn ever act again? I would love to know. If i met her in person i would ask her. Im curious .Lauryn hill started out as an actress. I just wonder maybe it is not something she wants to do or it is not a priority in her life. I know she has been through a lot but i would love to see her act again and still perform.

IDK, that'd be nice to see again. I know she's been involved in one film thus far (post sister act), but it's not acting. Have you seen it? "Concerning Violence?" She's narrating. I haven't followed her work in acting for a minute, so she could've had other things going on too. It would've been interesting to see her take on the role of Nina Simone. Have never seen her act beyond her teenage years.
I mean if you ever meet her, let us know her response lol. I wonder if she gets this question a lot lol. Yes, us Geminis can be unpredictable, like seriously unpredictable lol.

If you have NETFLIX you can watch it on there. Amazon you can rent it and I think iTunes. If you absolutely cannot afford the rental, let me know and I will hit you up with a link.

I just saw concerning violence. I think everybody should watch it especially black people, In other to to understand white supremacy and the nature of the white man. I like the part at the end where she was reading. It says " the spirit of the white man has strange roots" that statement said it all about his nature. Open your third eye people we are at war it has taking a new form an invisible form. Thank you guys. I Appreciate the link. I watched it on netflix.

lol hey!, didn't even know it was on YT! Glad you enjoyed it. It was a great film to me. If you haven't read Frantz Fanon's books, give them a try; the narration is from his work (particularly the Wretched of the Earth). He has good work.
lol, yes it's important to know who you're dealing with especially as it relates to us as a people and YES we are definitely at war. :-)
NP, if you don't know how to DL movies from youtube or if you don't feel like going through the hassle, let me know and I'll shoot you a copy of the film if you want. Night

Acting seems like something she would like. It provides an outlet to explore different personas and step outside "the boxes" she hates so much.
But as of now movie studios probably see her as a big gamble. Lauryn might show up to the set 2 hrs late everyday. lol So I wouldn't expect it anytime soon, but you never know what the future may hold.

Just a thought, but if nerves are an issue, acting might actually be a good way for her to ease back onto the scene without a lot of pressure. Maybe she could join an ensemble cast. But no telling if she's even interested in acting anymore.

she's better off NOT acting. she aint a good actress and would lose points in people's minds once they realized this, which she hasn't given people the chance to realize. she's highly respected and risks becoming less so by being known for being a horrible actress. Sister Act 2 was the most godawful cornball movie ever made and Lauryn's too cemented in her own personality to become a fictitious character in a show/movie that isn't herself.
she's lucked out by not being in more movies earlier because i think she woulda been horrible and not for any fault of her own. just, some people are too dogmatically themself to act out some fiction role. i think she's one of them type people who could ONLY play a role that's ultimately herself.
the only good roles she could play are aspects of herself we aren't familiar with; then she'll do well. because we'll think she's "acting" but really it'll just be some aspect of her personality we haven't gotten to know, which probably are a few.
e.g. she could probly play someone she identifies with. but i doubt she could play like, like, i doubt she'd have done well in the Matrix.
the good thing about Lauryn is she got a reputation as a goodie goodie so her playing an evil villain would be more impressive to people. i think she'd score major points playing an evil character. whereas a good character it'd be cliche.

Well...hmm there have been great teenage actors that have become not so great adult actors. A little short sighted imo to extend teenage critique to adulthood. Things have to adjust and play out. Additionally, Lauryn's always admitted her faults/mistakes in her music as well.
I don't think she'd take a fictional role, however Nina is not fictional, whether she'd ever pursue anything like that, idk, certainly up to her. You know what though, I think she was offered a role in the matrix and quite a few other roles. On a personal note, I thought she was a pretty good actress as a teenager and many ppl enjoy sister act 2 (there's a relatability factor). Her acting isn't going to have an impact on her rap/singing career or her reputation. Her rep amongst ppl is more than just being good entertainment.
