While I am literally waiting for paint to dry I wondred if any of you folks in the U.S. have heard of Ojos de Brujos. This fantastic collective from Spain has now disbanded, but dslivered amazing live shows.

I could reframe this post and title it artists that remind me Lauryn hills approach to music lol. Or musical styles I hope Lauryn experiments with, how awesome would a Qwali brwakdown in ex factor be a la Nusrat lol. But my paint us dry and there are indeed other forums on the inter web

No worries ojos always put me mind of what MLH has been doing for the last ten years yet they found a way to commercialise it. a lot of the song content is socio political there was even a romance between the lead singer and another band member lol. Great conscious fusion music. Requested the mid remove the other thread. Idea there was to highlight some of elements Ms Hill uses that are not present in a lot of mainstream music particularly tempo changes mid song and re arranging Classic lyrics to new music which is highly prevelent in Indian ( ridiculously ignorant umbrella term sorry ) music.
