You can't catch been gay tolerance will not lead to an epidemic. It is not a disease. It's gfe prooagation of this mind set that causes so much emotional and developmental damage to gay people and results in a lot of the behaviours which are not healty ! Plus any person experiencing fertility issues may also have issues with your comments. I respect you can't pick and choose parts of your faith but this us an area we will have to agree to disagree on. As another aside - is it possible the promotion of the family unit (2.4 kids)as the correct way to live in a highly consumerised, competive, keeping up with the Jones's atmosphere at the expense of community actual functions as a method to divide and conquer ?

No, this the way of the world and all it focus on is the flesh. The lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. We are 3 part being spirit, soul, and body. Whenever there is an imbalance in any of the three, there will be chaos. That why He tell us the first thing you have to do after accepting Jesus as Lord is to have a transformation in the mind. Your sight isn't just to focus on what visible, but spiritual being operating in man to control their thinking, desires, emotions, etc. No, I didn't think you could catch it;but you have to follow the remedy for any sin the same way no matter if I am a liar, thief, sleeper, fornicator, etc. You have to come the same way confession, repentance, and acceptance; until this happen we all stay bound by whatever He say is sin.
Furthermore, I don't prioritize sin. I don't taboo this one and embrace this one; they all will destroy and cause eternal separation. I am not even trying to persuade cause I have seen enough of what He said come true already; now it is to maintain my focus and not be lead away by reasonings and rationalizing the truth. He didn't ask for our opinions when he establish His laws, they were established in Heaven by God and implemented by Man on Earth. He does warns us that if we go against them they will crush us. It like hitting your head against the brick wall; the wall is not going to move!

Cults however large or small love guilt traps Truth needs no defense;it speaks for itself. Let the Holy Spirit speaks to you before you mock truths and He will reveal Himself to you; but He's a gentleman and won't impose Himself on you if you reject him...

Lose myself is about finding God/Jesus again. She weaves in her experiences with men that have hurt her, but to lose herself so she could love whole is a reference to loving God/Jesus and replenishing and nourishing her soul. Sure, she's probably had some self'-esteem issues but I think that's normal for many blacks Is that analogy for women and men that blacks suffer with self esteem; if so, is that frustration taken out one on the other?

No mockery intended. Considering you quoted a bible passage that implies your interpretation of gods will is that I will be struck down for having a wank let alone following my own internal voice I think I have displayed quite a high level of restraint focusing on the positives aspects we share. there should be no negative connotation for the word cult. Cult = culture. but a cult is a cult. All cults seek promote and maintain themselves at the expense of new or different ideas. I think the only religious text I have read we explicitly states of its self that it is one of many paths to God / enlightenment / mindfulness is the Udhava Gita. Time for me to get back to why I came to this forum - the music I appreciate your gentle loving approach and see that in your mind you believe you are trying to help others, me included so thank you for that intention. However you too are just a person who's views may change later in life as may mine. Take care of yourself.

However you too are just a person who's views may change later in life as may mine. Take care of yourself. Jesus said in the bible "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6. The bible let us know there are not many ways, but He is THE way. Now in the natural, I don't care how many men I might sleep with if I become pregnant, only one of those can be the father. If every path will lead you to God and He says that He has given all powers to His son Jesus; then somebody's lying. I pray that I never change my mind for there is a scripture that says, It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. 2Peter2:21. For this reason, I cry out to Him to keep me and lead me in the ways of righteousness. I have tried to explain His word for all to understand and I am sure it will perform what He sent it out to do. God Bless and May His face always shine on you.

We all interpret song lyrics differently, so I will share what I think this song means to me. Perhaps, it's a song about a woman loving something and someone so much that it consumed her completely. She gave herself wholeheartedly to love and a relationship, compromising and sacrificing continuously and in return, slowly losing herself in the process. She loved unconditionally in the relationship but she did not get the same in return. Instead, she was told that she was not enough or that no matter how good things were going, it was never going to work. She would do it all again because so many wonderful memories were made, and because it has made her realise her own inner strength.

Instead, she was told that she was not enough or that no matter how good things were going, it was never going to work. She would do it all again because so many wonderful memories were made, and because it has made her realise her own inner strength. I definitely agree with that. Lyrics often have dual meaning intentionally to reach a larger audience. However, whenever someone consumes you; you lose the essence of who you are. Now, they control your thoughts, feelings, well-being which often places you in a vulnerable state, naked and exposed totally at their mercy. Sometimes this happen when a person is in love with the idea of love. These preconceived notions are often influenced by past experiences which leads one to make assumptions that aren't necessary true. Further, I think it only compromising when it's give and take, but this did not appear to be the case. She was always giving and not receive anything in return. So I am still undecided about "wonderful memories" when you were in love all by yourself. . Also, I think it lead her to place a guard around her heart to avoid being hurt that deeply again; thus, making it hard to receive love that is indeed genuine, due to past hurts. Finally, despair made her seek out another source for strength and restoration. Like Whitney said, "Who on earth can I run to?" "I Look to You."

This dynamic / pattern which you illuminate is indeed very real and frighteningly common. The situation is often prolonged by an intense desire for the pain endured in such a situation to hold value of some kind. I have experienced this situation myself and when you are in it not a person alive can reach you. Afterwards you are left with a choice to keep beating yourself up for been so stupid or to learn and change. I was lucky that in my situation the other involved did not seek to exploit the dynamic as much as they could have yet still it was me who ultimately had to remove myself from the situation. I got out before my heart hardened The experience however made me fearful of love in a second manner. In addition to been scared of been hurt again I was more worried about hurting someone else who I perceived my previous mindset in. It's a neutering from both ends if you will. From Lauryn's lyrics I do get the impression she has also experienced Something similar but I don't know her I know me. I know I have arrived at a better place in regards to love, not fully there yet but a wonderful woman once told me "I never learned a damn thing from been right"

Talking about cults, and religion, I felt compeled to speak my truth. I've come to the conclusion that I owe it to myself to keep an open mind. Any religion that puts down a questioning mind in favor of blind faith is not for me. I'm inclined to believe that such a religion is more about control than it is about my own spiritual health and evolution. I now believe that there are many paths to enlightenment. I believe that at a point those paths all reach one universal truth - we have to live for and to love, which is easier said than done. I am open to everything now. I'm open to the concept that we aren't the only sentient beings in the universe; I'm open to the idea that we were created by other beings. I'm open to the idea that what we call God, as a concept, is flawed, and there are numerous beings that exhibit God like traits. I'm open to the possibility of reincarnation for the development and benefit of one's soul (which by the way is an error of speech - we don't have a soul, each of us IS a soul, that has a body). I'm open to the receipt of esoteric wisdom, and so I am not surprised that it finds it's way to me. It seems to have always been there. I just opened my eyes after spending a long time with eyes wide shut, in fear.

You drive your car believing that the other driver will stay in their lane. you board planes believing that you will make it to your destination safe. you use public restrooms believing that you won't catch a disease. You eat at restaurant and don't know whether the cooks washed their hands. Also, you are in control of very little. You are being controlled through media, world bank and bankers tell you what you will pay for housing, cars, interest on your loan. Government decides how much tax you pay and how much the penalty will be for failure to do so. Utilities companies decides what you will pay for lights, water, and gas. Insurance company set your rate for premiums, city government decides where the burial plots will be so. God decides when your time will expire here on earth. Let's see you decide if you will take the elevator up or down.

Blind faith is not as prevelent i think as you may feel. Faith born of thinking or feeling is not really blind I think. But then I dont define faith as the absence of critical thinking. Anyone who has sat on a collapsed chair can attest to that. Also with estimates of between 21,000 to 33,000 different denominations of Christianity I make that at leat 21,000 different points of view within this one faith alone. 21,000 differences of interpretation with enough allure to attract adherents at the least. Which one would be correct ? Yours? Your neighbour from two doors up ?
