Wow! All I can say is, first time I've seen Ms Lauryn Hill since her disaterous 2007 show. And my god! The recent videos from this tour do it maybe 5% justice she was AMAZING and the crowed loved her! I'm so grateful and blessed this evening

Just got home from the gig. Was lovely to see Ms Lauryn Hill in the UK again. Had a good night and loved lauryns energy and how happy she seemed. Highlight was the unplugged set as love just hearing her voice as something's the band was to high and the sound guy needed to turn them down a bit. Loved the arrangement of everything is everything. Now I'm looking forward to next weekend when I get to meet her. :0) that's my dream and I can't wait!!!!!! Also will be interesting to see if her set will be different as it's a intimate show.

Just a quick post to say ignore all the bad reviews so far from the media. The crowed did NOT boo her! They got impatient that she was slightly late, but when she was on stage she was magic! I didn't see anyone walk out, the crowed embraced her new style and groove and the whole seated balcony were standing and dancing throughout. I was so excited to read some good reviews this morning which I felt she deserved and horrified how they have turned it into something negative! I hope we get some decent ones soon actually based on her performance rather than negative peoples twitter feeds!

I agree with Sengunasguest she was really good maybe not as good as when I saw her in 2012 but she had great energy and sounded great. Just the sound of the band being to high was a pain as wanted to here her voice more. People seemed they was really enjoying the show and the boo I heard was after ex factor as she went of stage to get her guitar and think people thought the show was over. Soon as she came back out everyone cheered. She was late but still did an hour and 30 mins and show ended at 11:30 so not that bad. All the bad twitter and reviews annoy me as people should realise she is not going to be like she was in the 90s. She has changed and if they want 90s they should watch YouTube. She sounded great and I like how she change's the songs as makes it fresh.

lauryn1982 I feel like I was at a different show than the media is reviewing! The new mixes of the songs were cutting edge and fresh, she sounded amazing clear and not raspy she was in total control! I wish they wouldn't focus on the negativity, I really felt she would get some amazing reviews today. And yea her moves were adorable she is such a geek

I was at the show last night too and loved it. Love all the new versions. One thing I have noticed is the sound at the larger venues tends to deteriate the further you are from the stage. When I watched back the Paris footage I noticed so many things that did not come through from where I was in the arena (still loved it though). From the people I spoke to, a small sample, they were a little confused by the miseducation remixes and found them hard to follow. Maybe they just not too quick on the uptake . The more innovation the better for me. Some of the extended endings were cut short partiuclarly on Final Hour which was my favourite, also on Everything is everything and How Many Mics. I don't know if it was due to time constraints, voice condition (unlikely) or Ms.Hill's whimsy lol. My number one decision maker for which dates to attend on the next tour (fingers crossed)will be venues that feature no curfuw :)I don't know why her team books venues with a curfew tbh but I guess it must bejust the way things work. Anyone that is going next week to the Sunday 02 gig, have a great time.

I wrote the above before reading any reviews, um. Bad sound quality and completely reworked material is not a good combination. So much work and imagination has gone into these new versions and it's a shame that it's hidden by the audio quality. Do they not put people at different locations in the venues before showtime to balance the sound? I can see how people might struggle to catch on. With all the effects and level changes it must be hard to get the sound great for every venue but when you change so much it's probably best to give people a fighting chance to appreciate it. Oh well I liked it much

sengunasguest yeah I feel the reviews and tweets are unfair!! Yes there was a couple of small problems but this happens to lots of artist. The thing with Lauryn she carrys on and always puts on a show even times when she is feeling unwell etc. loved her dancing moves lots and she in my mind was amazing. Glad you and supermoonface both enjoyed the show! :0) can't wait now for next weekend and getting to meet her. Hope I hold it together when I meet her :0P lol

I just saw some youtube videos she really sounds good and the revamps are very familiar to what she has been doing all along. The journalists at the Guardian are pretty pathetic and tabloid driven calling her show a disaster is really out of order. On the videos people are really enjoying her show contrary to the reviews. For some strange feeling i believe some of these media outlets are being paid to tarnish this woman's image for no reason.I don't understand the logic behind what they are doing its pretty malicious. The twitter comments are really silly it just shows that people are really followers instead of being independent thinkers.

Guys I wish I shared your enthusiasm when it comes to a live Lauryn Hill show. I live in London but couldn't bring myself to attend any of the shows because she is not offering anything new. She has been touring the same material (non-stop) for the last 5 years. That is why she is constantly under pressure to make the songs 'fresh' and remix them beyond recognition. Wonder why she stopped performing Damnable Heresies, Guarding the Gates, Stevie Wonder covers that she did earlier in the tour - I would pay good money to see those live. I also get the sense that people are not saying she must not remix her songs but her insistence on playing them too loud and at a furious pace is what divides people. Couple that with sound problems and you almost lose the musicality of it all. I am happy that she's back in full voice and for the most part, getting good reviews but I just can't reward her (with my money)for the tardiness (in showing up late at shows as well as not releasing any new material commercially). I don't mean to be too critical as there are probably many factors behind the scenes but for now I choose not to support her tour or any future tours that will feature the same songs.

mbalnd, I understand your frustration but some of the complaints regarding the show are a bit exaggerated and I just feel some people enjoy writing negative staff about her even if its not necessary. To be honest she really sounds good and some of the revamped songs are genius and enjoyable. I find it very annoying that people will criticise her shows but will enjoy some of these untalented mediocre new artists with silly stupid songs and to add insult to injury most of them don't even sing live. To be honest I feel the media is trying so hard to brainwash people to loose faith in Lauryn Hill and its not working. Yes I understand that she needs new material but I think her record label has all the powers to ensure that materialises its sad because over the past years she has been writing lots of material with new songs but never officially released. Every time she releases a song people will complain about how they cannot related to her new material because its too political and intellectual, and Lauryn has always been known for her intelligent writing skills since she was 13 (Fugees Era). Her team needs to work on her tardiness even though she gives a great show this will overcloud her good performances. Over the years she has been using the same method, a dj warming up the crowd before the actual show, so I don't understand how this became a big issue suddenly. Lauryn is not perfect but people need to be reasonable as their misrepresentation of her shows encourage certain media outlets to spread lies about her. I would not be surprised if people raging on twitter did not even attend the show, mop psychology at its best. I say this as the videos show something different, I see people taking pictures, enjoying themselves and also singing along.

Furthermore, what I find perplexing is that two years ago when she performed there with different arrangements it was well received. Here it is two years later again with different arrangements and in my opinion better vocals, but it's a disaster now?
