They created it in response to the new Nicki Minaj album cover as a means to criticize her, as its making it way around many forums.

From what I gather it's a criticism on Nicki Minaj - that she has stooped this low to remain relevant. The use of the miseducation cover is to show how far gone female rap has become - as in Lauryn is the standard that Nicki & co are judged against. The purpose of the cover is to show the contrast between the two artists given how Nicki always references Lauryn as an inspiration. They are telling her she could never match up to Lauryn

I don't like this, I get the message, but I don't like it.

This image immediately disturbed me. But it does make you think. The image of Lauryn offended me, I thought what have you done to yourself. The image of Nikki had hardly any effect until I saw them both side by side. I began to think why. Is it the shock of seeing someone portraying an image contrary to what i would expect or the fact I had become numb to that same image presented by someone I would expect it of. It's the same degrading image after all

I get the message but I kind of feel like this image defeats the purpose. They put MLH, who always stays covered up, on nicki's body who is practically nude in a pornographic way. They are sexually objectifying a woman who is against that practice. Why not have nick I looking educated on the nosed. Cover?

I was on the Bossip site regarding this cover. The comments on the blog are so pathetic and it shows how people are still ignorant regarding Lauryn situation. I could not believe some of the negative comments, people attacking her personal life claiming she is no role model, calling her a tax evader and calling her children derogatory names instead of focusing on the depiction of Lauryn on the cover. I am still trying to figure out what was Wyclef trying to achieve by writing a book and tarnishing Lauryn 's image in the process. People managing these blogs are so ruthless, allowing people to disrespect celebrities like that, I just can't deal.

It's no secret he was jealous of her success. She is brought up when discussing the greats and he isn't. He just can't deal. lol
As for the cover, I laughed when I saw it. lol I can see why people wouldn't like it though.

This cover is just one of numerous parodies regarding nicki minaj's anaconda cover. To be honest the main reason I got upset is because of the title of this thread. My heart skipped a beat when I saw "new album cover". I thought I was going to see an epic portrait of MLH with an album title like "Concious Massive Khlami Phase" lol. But when I saw this I was like WTF?! Lol

I love Nicki Minaj songs, and I love Lauryn Hill songs more. It's just 2 different kinds of rap and we know what waiting for these 2 woman. With Nicki Minaj, we will heard "mainstream rap", with synthetic instrumentations. Her lyrics are not deep, it's not "conscious rap". She's in the rap game, she has some verses against some rappers. Don't wait for a critique of capitalism from Nicki Minaj. She has a very good flow, their verses are always cool to hear. This single cover is not shocking: with all the surgery she made on her body, we know it's because she want to use her body in her work; so, this cover is not surprising. And she is not the first to made this in US rap (ex: Lil Kim), and she will not be the last. With Lauryn Hill, we know we will heard conscious rap, with deep lyrics about capitalism, politics, religion, racism, etc ... She is not in the rap game (rap game known here as clashs, etc...). She works with "true musicians", not with the "mainstream producers of the time" (RedOne, ...). She uses music, her flow as a reflexion medium about deep subjects. She doesn't use her body to promote her music. It's 2 different kinds of rap, we can love this 2. With Nicki Minaj, the "good vibe" is first, but with Lauryn, the lyrics are first. And, i have read that next to the post of this famous cover, Nicki Minaj added the hashtag "#unacceptable". So, after that, she added photos of beautiful girl well dresses, with the hashtag "#acceptable". Maybe Nicki is not the devil you think

Why is Oprah so concern and tracking Ms. Hill. I don't think Lauryn granted her that interview did she? She seem to throw a bone and sit back and let the fight begin!
