The audience was very responsive to the acoustic set. This tells me that people are seeking truth. It really our nature because the spirit of truth that was blown into Adam resulted in all of mankind having an eternal destiny. it is this breath that let's know that this is not all there is. There is an eternal God that gave us all eternal life. It just depends on where you want to spend it. It doesn't matter whether we believe this. When one Adam life was breathed into and look how many generation still come on the planet with one breath and will have an eternal home. As He so eloquently stated He is the God of the living and not the dead. Keep teaching Ms. Hill It will be like a parable to some, but others will get it!

Is there a reason she did sooo many unplugged songs? Praying we get these in London!

Is there a reason she did sooo many unplugged songs? Praying we get these in London! Funny I was wondering if it was because of the feedback she got when she was in jail. Certainly in my short letter to her i told her it was the Unplugged album that changed my life and gave me a new understanding. I wonder if others wrote similar things to her. love! X

X The unplugged songs are apart of her set during the entire show, she has performed them at every tour stop thus far. I think what we are now seeing is apart of the creative process for Lauryn. For a while many things were just incomplete, she would perform songs for years where such was performed at a very fast tempo, then she remixed the songs, then she would go on stage with just a guitar; and a lot of people criticized her. I think now Lauryn has found a way to make all of the creative elements work, and people are loving it. I was watching some videos, and too see her interact with the crowd as she's doing now, reminds me of 98/99... its obvious Lauryn is in a good place right now, and her voice is the best it has been in years, and its getting better.

I think it time for truth to be revealed. When Lauryn first did the Unplugged, this was not the type of music that the industry wanted for human consumption. These songs require you to think and evaluate yourself. The criticism of this album lead people to believe Ms. Hill was on the deep end, but isn't that what society always say about truth. Most believe that report. Now many has actually listen to the lyrics and have encouraged others to do so and the results have been positive. We all are seeking balance and purpose in a life that is filled with challenges, joy, pain, disappointments, fears, hopelessness, but when we seek what put us in those places, then we can receive healing, repent and be made whole. They were eating up Oh Jerusalem because truth stares you in the face and it always bring light with it! Keep pushing Ms. Hill, the light is being turned on and many will be made whole!

I was at this show! Wonderful stuff, truly an eclectic setlist and a powerful performance. I was expecting good things given her recent successful gigs but nothing compares to that live, in-person experience.
And i'm so glad the Unplugged songs are getting a fair shake, now! For me they're honestly more impressive than a lot of the 'Miseducation' tracks. Very mature lyrically, and melodically beautiful sonically. After hearing the 'Lauryn Hill Re-plugged' songs on Youtube it made me long for her to record studio versions of tracks like "Adam Lives in Theory", "The Conquering Lion" and "I Gotta Find Peace of Mind".
And I definitely agree about the voice. It seems to be regaining a lot of its power, endurance and dexterity with every show she performs.

In truth Miseducation was deep on many levels, you'd just have to know what she's talking about.
