This last days, i made some searchs on repertories available to internet:
- ASCAP: "The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers is an American not-for-profit performance-rights organization (PRO) that protects its members' musical copyrights by monitoring public performances of their music, whether via a broadcast or live performance, and compensating them accordingly." (Wikipedia)
- BMI: "Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) is one of three United States performing rights organizations, along with ASCAP and SESAC" (Wikipedia)
- US Copyright office: federal institution about copyright
This repertories are good way to know if new materiel was registered. For instance, we know the recorded and unreleased Michael Jackson's songs with this, and we know Adele now works on an new album because new titles appeared on her repertory.
I found nothing new about Lauryn Hill (the Lauryn BMI repertory is very incomplete, US Copyright office a little less incomplete and ASCAP very complete, with all the songs officially released, execept Consumerism).
But, in ASCAP, there is a strange thing: a song "Forever Loving Jah" is registered, with Bob Marley, The Wailers and Lauryn Hill as performers.
