I don't think she sings Guarding the gates and Mr Intentional by chance: i think she sang this in the last concerts because it will be on the album

This show was straight up RIDICULOUS! I can't even talk about it yet, I have to digest it all. Damnable Heresies was powerful. So incredibly powerful. Best show I've ever seen her do.

Is it filmed like the first concert (27 november)? If yes, I see clearly what's happen. Lauryn introduces this old songs in her concerts because there will be on the album and the concerts are filmed for the promotion of the album and songs, and maybe for a videoclip. If what i think really happens, we will got a veryyyy gooood album ! Black Rage, Consumerism, Neurotic Society, Mr Intentional, Damnable Heresies, Guarding the Gates...

it didn't look like the concert was professionally filmed. Sadly, I only filmed Mr. Intentional, when the true gem of the night was Damnable Heresies. A truly mind-blowing performance. At the end of the show, she jumped into the first row of the crowd to sing "Doo Wop". It was absolutely incredible.

Lauryn Hill is out of prison and back in top form at 9:30 Club Kyle Gustafson/For The Washington Post - Lauryn Hill performs at 9:30 Club, as part of her first tour since serving three months in prison on tax charges. By Sarah Godfrey, It’s time to let go of the memory of every less-than-amazing Lauryn Hill concert you’ve ever been to or heard about. Forget about that time she talked more than she sang or rapped; that show where she ran through her hits as rote; the time her voice didn’t sound quite right; and the one when she showed up three hours late. The New Jersey singer/rapper/actress has been followed by chatter about her erratic, uneven shows for some time. In recent years, fans have gone to see her mostly just to be in her space, to be able to say they’d seen her, never really expecting a dynamic show. That seems to be changing. Ms. Hill gave an exceptional two-hour performance at the 9:30 Club on Sunday night, and it seems to be a trend. Rumors of Hill’s fantastic Nov. 27 New York concert — her first since being released from prison after a three-month stint in jail for failure to pay income tax — spread quickly. Her 9:30 Club show was sold out, with a line to get in stretching from the club’s entrance all the way to Howard University Hospital, a couple of blocks away. It was worth the wait — both the time spent outside in the cold on Sunday and the many years for her to show a flicker of the greatness that defined her work with hip-hop trio the Fugees and her canonized lone solo album, 1998’s “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.” Once L Boogie took the stage, she kicked off her shoes, showered the audience with compliments (“You’re great, if no one told you today!”), and worked some of her best-known material into beautifully complex arrangements, without erasing their most beloved elements. Best of all, her voice sounded rich and strong. She appeared genuinely happy to be performing, and was fully present — a big change from her last decade or so of live shows. How good was she? A fire alarm went off about halfway through her set — it was quickly turned off, a false alarm — but no one so much as turned their head toward the venue’s exits. One of the biggest treats of the night was that the reggae influence heard on “Miseducation,” was expanded throughout the show. “Killing Me Softly with His Song” got a sultry dub treatment and the lover’s rock feel of “Ex-Factor” was more pronounced. Hill was long ago labeled as one of the founding mothers of neo-soul, which is accurate but gives short shrift to her work as an emcee. She seemed eager to remind listeners that she is both singer and rapper. On “How Many Mics,” “Fu-Gee-La,” and “Ready or Not,” she rapped all of the verses — hers, as well as those of her former fellow Fugees Wyclef and Pras. The material never sounded so good. Here’s hoping some enterprising DJ will release a Lauryn-only version of the Fugees’ “The Score.” After a reprise of “Killing Me Softly,” Hill disappeared, but came back for an encore, acoustic guitar in hand. She performed some of her deeper cuts, including “Mr. Intention,” “Guarding the Gates,” and an especially powerful version of “Damnable Heresies,” during which she talked of a “system that doesn’t consider everyone,” and sang “I got out” and “I got my freedom” — which held special relevance, considering her ordeal of the past year. The lyrically dense, rapid-fire “Consumerism” was the newest piece Hill offered, but no one minded that she was more focused on reinventing past works — and exorcising the ghosts of strange shows past — than debuting new material. Hill, who provoked the ire of D.C. fans a few years ago when she delayed a show for hours while getting her toes done, ended Sunday’s concert by jumping, still barefoot, into the crowd for “Doo Wop (That Thing)” — a perfect display of just how connected and grounded Ms. Hill is, once again. OK. Got a nap! First off: Best concert I've ever been to (except Prince-but he's Prince)!
Every time I have seen Ms. Hill I have been at least near the stage. Tonight I chose the balcony. Of course this is the night she jumps into the crowd! *smdh*
Funniest moment: MLH decides she is ready to get down into the crowd. In She starts to get in then stops and says "Hold up. I gotta take my jewelry off first", while looking at the group in front if her suspiciously. Hilarious. I damn sure would've done the same! So I got an arial few of Doo-Wop being performed from the floor...my iphone camera is garbage! The pics weren't clear, so after I got 1 shot of her wearing the fur coat and insanely bad heels (both were sidelined less than 2 minutes into the show, lol), I gave up on pictures and video!
Deepest moment: Arguably at Lauryn Hill show of course, while she was sitting down to play her guitar she began showing the crowd her ankle bracelet, required as a condition of her house arrest. Wackness. Those things always make me think of SHACKLES...But she sang Mr. Intentional and the band accompaniment was an uptempo blend of reggae and r&b. Sounded great, though she directed them to come in and out.
She also did "Damnable Heresies". Thought it was an ok song before. Now I am sure it is effing great! With the band, that too, was fire. Wherever other artists are, she is on another echelon, truly! No one else has a voice pretty enough to make a song with a title and kind of complexity like that and make people still really want to listen to it! If you don't understand the words, her voice will convince you to FEEL them. Her guitar playing was notably impressive as well. She is clearly confident with it these days!
Just before she performed "Guarding the Gates" she mentioned that she was thankful to those who respected her privacy (in the public and media). So the song is basically melodically saying "Mind Yo Business, Homie". Well alright Ms. Hill! As you wish! I can dig it.
Despite that, she connected with the audience very well! Awesome, awesome show. Need an album. She said soon last night. We'll see!
No professional cameras there that I could see.
