Have the fugees ever released a song that was there own. Every song I've heard on the radio is just them singing somebody ELSE'S work. I just heard a commercial for ring tones with a new fugees song. LOL that song is terrible, is that there own work, cause if thats any example of there original work it sucks. Or is it another "sample" aka somebody else's work.

I dont know what if you are into Hip Hop music of if you usually listen to some christina aguielera type of pop music but: It is not uncommon in Hip Hop music to use samples from other classic songs. Check the credits! So I dont really see what you are trying to say... It doesn't take away from the originality of the songs... You use a sample and make it your own.

just negative energy...don't waste your time on it.
non-obvious samples?
see: "vocab"and "cowboys". and is this an issue about SAMPLING or just another person wanting to find something negative to say? Cause there is creative sampling and uncreative sampling. "ready or not" was a very creative sample. i'm done.

Was Nappy heads a sample ?
What's the point of this discussion ? All artists use samples anyway !

Ok,this is really interesting question...05subwrallyx has to get some props,it isn`t really out of question, because i basically love the Fugees because of clever sampling or simple call it scoring original records and making a good remixes...BUT I also always wanted to hear something original, but Fugees built their carrier love it or not over "Killing me softly","Ready or not","No woman no cry" and later "When we were kings" and so on...It`s funny how people react when somebody writes something negative over Fugees,i`m sorry but almost nobody isn`t objective here! I WILL ALWAYS LOVE THEM but i can`t say that they don`t use "famous" samples.People here forgot that rap (rhyme & poetry) was first "telling the stories" and productingly,it`s made with samples, loops, breake beats, and so on BUT,nobody ever implemented a statement like "You have to use samples from original records"!? So,man as long as you don`t insult Fugees, your opinion is here respectable, and i was beeing sad that in this forum there`s a rule:"Freedom of opinion",so what happened with that? P.S.80-MAYBE 90% OF Fugees best records ARE COVERS,you may simply LOVE IT or NOT,i`ve choosed to LOVE IT,but this man has some point! PEACE.
