Chris Schwartz is Lauryn's manager for those that don't know. He is the head of Ruffhouse records.

damned!!!!!!! Hope it is not a joke .... But you 're reliable guest 21 . So... Why this title? And what does it mean precisely "in production" ? And why lauryn didn't say anything? Guest 21 got the title from the manager's tweet: "The World should know that the new Ms Lauryn Hill Album is in production and the drought will soon be over !! THE RAINS WILL COME AT LAST !!" Anyway, that is good news--if it's true. I don't mean to "rain" on the parade, but I'm still kinda pissed off about how that "Black Rage" release *rolls eyes* went down. That was very disappointing. I'm going to remain in the "wait and see" mode until Schwartz can give us more info than just a 140 characters or less tweet...I think Ms. Hill's fans, who've been with her throughout the years, deserve more than that.

ladona I don't think Lauryn ever intended to release "Black Rage". I think it was a performance piece as she stated in her own words. “ I use the performance platform as an opportunity to express the energy of that moment, and the intention behind it,” said Ms. Hill. “I’ve been a long standing rebel against the stale, over commoditization. As artists we have opportunity to help the public evolve, raise consciousness and awareness, teach, heal, enlighten and inspire in ways the democratic process may not be able to touch. So we keep it moving.” On the new album, I am a believer. ;D

I came here to post his tweet...but of course someone beat me to it!
Did we seriously want Black Rage to be the first single? On the album YES, the very first single? Naaah, not so much. That is garaunteed NO AIRPLAY!
I figured if the label was letting her perform new material on a tour of that name something was brewing. Chris Swartz tweet os great news! I am also glad to hear he is starring Ruffhouse Records again. More great hip-hop is on its way in addition to Ms. Hill!

guest 21 & Mt. Zion: I see what you all are saying, but that's the problem with Ms. Hill and her camp as it relates to her new music--they hardly ever explain anything. Yes, sometimes fans do need explanations, especially if they've been waiting since forever. There has to be a mutual respect between the artist and her audience. And when something is put forth, it's usually vague. I'm a pretty straightforward person, all I need to know is the who, what, when, where, and how of things, and I'm good, don't really care for too much guessing and wondering about the intentions of Ms. Hill, Schwartz, and the record company. Just tell us, in plain English.

Finally! We've waited with bated breath for such a long time and what we've been hoping for is almost here! Best news I've had this year to date. Just need it officially confirmed and that'll be me made up for the whole year. ;D ;D ;D ;D Are we to assume "The Rain Will Come" will be the album title? BTW I didn't ever think Black Rage was ever intended for release. She had a lot to say following her tax issue and I'm glad she shared what was on her mind instead of bottling it all up.

Tweeted February 21:Juliana @active_neurons
My professor just showed us pictures of the house where Lauryn Hill is recording her new album 😆
Juliana's bio mentions Temple U. When I was doing my research for "Operation Ask Ms. Hill" I found out that Phil Nicolo was an adjunct professor at Temple University. I believe Nicolo partnered with Schwartz to found Ruffhouse. I'm going to ( assume ) that Juliana is talking about Nicolo(as the professor who showed them the pics) he has a studio, Studio 4 Recording, close by in a suburb of Philadelphia. I'm only guessing, though, but it kind of makes sense that she would be referring to him.
