It would be nice if somebody who follows Ms. Hill's back-up singers or band members on Twitter could get them to ask Ms. Hill if she could post the lyrics on Tumblr or Twitter or here...? Or they could do it; they rehearse with her everyday, so they probably know them by heart. The message of the song lost if we don't know what she's saying. At least try somebody please...

"Black Rage" is getting NO AIRPLAY in the states! Negroes are not allowed to get any airplay with political music! This should be imtresting. LOOOVE the song! For a sec I kept getting limks to the spoken word. I have tix for next week, so I was pissed!!! Like, Lauryn stop with this Bs! I am still concerned about her tardiness. Girl if you are reading this I have kids to get off to school Thursday. Don't play! Lol But then I finally dound a link to the version with the band! Ahhhh! Ms. Hill. I would like to hear this one recorded! Sick! Love that she used the culturally "whitest" play in American history to sample. The irony.

LYRICS TO BLACK RAGE: Hope I do them some justice (help me out, but I think this is right!)
“Black Rage” Lauryn Hill
Black rage is founded on 2/3 a person Rapings and beatings and suffering that worsens Black human packages Tied up and stringed Black Rgae is founded on these kinds of things Black Rage is founded on blatant denial Squeezed economics Subsistence, survival Deafening silence and social control Black Rage is founded on wounds in the soul
So when th dogs bite and when the beatings... And when I'm feeling sad I simply remember all these kinds of things And then I don’t fear so bad
Black rage is founded who fed us self hatred Lies and abuse while we waited and waited Spiritual treason This grid and its cages Black rage was founded on these kinds of things
Black rage is founded on draining and draining Threatening your freedom To stop your complaining Poisoning your water While they say its raining Then call you mad For complaining, complaining Old time bureaucracy Drugging the youth Black rage is founded on blocking the truth Murder and crime Compromise and distortion Sacrifice, sacrifice Who makes this fortune? Greed, falsely called progress Such human contortion Black rage is founded on these kinds of things
So when the dogs bite And the ceilings ... And I’m feeling mad I simply remember all these kinds of things And then I don’t fear so bad
Free enterprise Is it myth or illusion Forcing you back into purposed confusion Black human trafficking Or blood transfusion Black rage is founded on these kinds of things Victims of violence Both psyche and body Life out of context IS living ungodly Politics, politics Greed falsely called wealth Black rage is founded on denying of self Black human packages Tied and subsistence Having to justify your very existence Try if you must But you can’t have my soul Black rage is founded on ungodly control So when the dog bites And the beatings And I’m feeling so sad I simply remember all these kinds of things And then I don’t fear so bad

@ ladonna-HA! Funny thing is, I didn't even read your post when I decided to write the words down! We must have all been thinking the same! 😎

Awesome, thanks!!! That reads about right, only a couple of words I still can't make out; it sounds clearer to me ( the spoken word version) now that I'm listening and reading along with it. Lol, I think I was sleepy when I first heard it, you know from staying up late waiting on Ms. Hill to hit the stage. Now, if we only had a better song version, that would be great.
