Founder Member – Mr. Mdabe : As a renowned producer, recording artist and employee with major companies and labels,Mr. Mdabe, has directly produced and contributed to over 100 of thousands of revenue for major record companies throughout his career. He has produced for the likes of L’VOVO, the late Lebo Mathosa, DJ’s@work, Kelly Khumalo, Mafikizolo, etc.
In addition, a qualified, experienced and talented management team has been selected to operate SHOTA Music. FACT 1 : Record Labels historically focused on the sales of their product portfolio, i.e, albums and did not cater for Artist’s needs and requirements, this has left the industry poorly serviced and restricted record label’s revenues.
SOLUTION: By focusing on the marketing as well, this will automatically boost the sales revenue which is solely equivalent to artist’s popularity.
FACT 2 : Record Labels are losing significant revenues by not having a holistically managed and controlled approach in their artist’s projects.

Chief among its goals is to design and provide creative and effective marketing for its artists. As music is being produced in studio, promotion and marketing strategies will be formulated to build the image of the artist. It is crucial that the marketing plan for each artist is in motion several weeks before the product is completed in studio. This would be collaborated with the record label as they’re responsible in marketing the artist’s products. In this manner, everything will be in sync and both parties will benefit tremendously.
As a related means to increase exposure for the company artists, SHOTA Music will plan and promote several live concert shows . Shows will be staged at a variety of major concert and club venues. Revenues will be generated from the sale of tickets, concessions and merchandise. It is anticipated that regional promotion contacts will be established allowing for expansion and increased sales revenues.
SHOTA Music would like to form strategic alliances and joint ventures with a larger company like Universal which may invest money to assist with marketing and promotion plans.
The company will be responsible for additional business opportunities related to the sale of pre-recorded music. Initially, merchandising and concert promotion will be developed. As the company grows and matures, diversification into other revenue generating opportunities will occur .
