Well she kept the other two girls and got rid of the girl with the blonde dreds who posted the rehearsal video. They sound so powerful with the guy now. It reminds me of Tanikka, Jeanette and Yolanda. The power of their sound is great. Also she needs him to sing the male part to "Nothing Even Matters". I hope she keeps this type of sound for her backgrounds. She needs a thick powerful sound not thin vocals. Thats interesting. The blonde haired dreadlocked did a lot of mentioning of long rehearsals on fb. I wonder if she quit on her own. I think she needs a male backup singer for her deeper vocals. A keys and Mary. J Blige have always had male backups. Tenor notes bring a fuller sound

Although I enjoyed the videos she posted, I wondered if she was supposed to be doing that. And then as fast as they were put up, they were taken down. Also, the talking about the long hours could have been viewed as a negative. I also wonder if she quit or if Lauryn let her go.

I had a difficult time trying to find reviews too. It is also interesting that RTB doesn't hire a production team to document the various acts, do interviews, show backstage footage, etc., kind of like what Chapelle did for Block Party. That would be nice.

Another review The last time slot of the night was a tough choice for many with Lauryn Hill (supposedly) performing the Mis-Education of Lauren Hill, and Ghostface Killah and Raekwon performing Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. Both acts were late to the stage, so I decided to get started with Ghost and Rae. “Knuckleheads” and “Criminology” started the set and sounded awesome. The guys had so much energy and looked like they were having a blast going over the material that would make them famous. After a slight lull in their set, I went to see Lauryn Hill who got top billing for the show. I hung out there for about fifteen minutes, didn’t hear one song that I recognized and witnessed the biggest mid-set exodus I’ve ever seen. The music she was playing was bad and messy. There was a polarizing contrast between Ghost and Rae, who love their old material and recognize it as excellent, and Ms. Hill who seems determined to tarnish her legacy as a relevant musician by reinventing her good songs and making them bad songs. It’s puzzling and disappointing that she’s lost her ear for good music. I immediately raced back over to see Ghost and Raekwon and by this point they had more Wu members onstage including Inspecktah Deck. They played many of their best songs over their 17 year career and it served as the best kind of reunion for the fans and the artists alike. www.theowlmag.com/live-reviews/rock-the-bells-shoreline-amphitheater/

One of her musicians from the Rock the Bells tour talks about his experience and why he's not continuing with the tour.

She played the entire album with the same arrangements as the album except for Final Hour. She was great and she tore up the stage. You can never know why anyone leaves a concert. Wanting to beat the crowd to the parking lot, wanting to get home after a long day...that's not her concern. I had a great time and the people I brought were introduced to her and loved her as well. The fact you were bouncing around from set to set like a wandering idiot is your fault and not anything to do with the artists. Couldn't they find anyone more capable and with a vast knowledge of music to do your job? It's time for Owl Mag to step up and make some changes."

Wow.... She changed just a little the melody of "Tell him", that's sweet! I love it ! I love her voice! She sounds so real!! . Some people would say her voice sounds tired....But I think her voice is just deeper than in 98' . It's all her life, her children, her loving stories that we can hear in her voice.
Oh my gosh I need new music!!! Even if it's a record of her old hits rearranged ... Just need she records this mo*** f***ing amazing voice

After conducting my own research i must agree Lauryn might not be perfect, but most of the negative things written about her concerts are exaggerated. People are not being objective its just mobb psychology caused by negative influences. It just shows that some people are intimidated by her presence and want to fit her into a certain category which is not going to work. Some people complain about her jumping on stage and being too energetic when she has been doing that since the days of the Fugees. There are so many similarities between her past and current performances eg bringing her kids on stage, she used to do that with Zion in 1999. People are just stupid and not paying attention.

I just returned from my job huge surprise !! Thank you so mutch lovelh Thank you so mutch The miseducation of Lauryn Hill How long has it been since we last heard this song live? 5 years? 6 years? lol. Love those last two notes ("Oooowwwnnn, destinnyyyyy"). The band did great too. Which reminds me, leave the BAND ALONE, Lauryn. They know what they're doing. I don't mean to sound negative, but it is very frustrating when she keeps missing or half-assing her notes because she feels compelled to constantly correct the band. Focus on YOU, Lauryn. Maybe Ras Baraka or someone else should join her and direct the band while she's singing like they did on the Miseducation tour. She missed all my favorite notes.

Finally That was AMAZING, especially the ending. I think this is one of those few instances, IMO, where her rearrangement actually surpasses the quality of the original. This sort of reminded me of the 'Chances Are' performance on Jimmy Fallon. Her voice wasn't 100% or "there" on either of them, but you can still feel her passion and soul. This is a treat!
