Since having a sixth child hasn't stopped Lauryn from touring the country and reconnecting with her fans, do you think she will put out new music when Rock The Bells is finished? I think that her Moving Target concert series is over, or was ended because of the baby, and I know she's banked enough bread from all these sold-out shows by now. So she can take matters into her own hands, financially, where her records are concerned. Do you think "new music soon" could possibly be coming close?

Possibly, I think some stuff has already been recorded or atleast in the pre production stage. I hope she has accsess to all the equipment she needs to make the record she has planned.

Lol, bless your heart Essence. You REALLY want some new music don't you? I think you ask that question (in a different way) at least once a week. I hope it's soon.

sorry to sound pessimistic but i've just about given up waiting for new music I'm sure you're not the only one, you're just one to say it. Although i understand why many of Lauryn's fans have given up on her releasing another album, it's not difficult for me to contemplate that because I see Lauryn as so much more than just a singer who records music. I don't just like her music full stop. She is inspirational in so many ways to me. She is obviously talented as we have come to know, but she is also a smart woman, a mother, and a great communicator. She's everything a woman ought to be and i'm inspired by her as a person as well as a musician. That's the kind of fan i am.

“As I get back up and start to do this again, make more music and present it to the people, I want you to know how much I appreciate your support, the fact that you’re still here,” she said. “You know my intention has always been to make music from my heart and to say something that means something not just to myself, but means something to you as well…I’ma be honest. I give the floor to whoever deserves the floor. You don’t hear me making music for no reason. If I have something to say and I really mean something, that’s when it’s time to put something out. And it’s getting close to that time, don’t you think? As my Jamaican brethren say, soon come.”Come on don´t lose your hope

I am with you on this one Soundboy... wasn't it reported years back by MTV that Lauryn has a massive catalogue of unreleased music? Rohan also confirmed that she writes all the time - and we have had tid bit updates about her recording in 2010. Really guys I just think Lauryn is reluctant to release new music otherwise we would have heard something by now. Unfortunately we keep coming back to the same subject as each year passes...its quite sad really

For some reason I just don't think this is the end where an album is concerned. Lauryn will release new music when she's ready. Look at all the unreleased songs she's done. She's been performing her unreleased music (05/06(07 too I think) plus she even sings her unreleased songs in soundcheck and she even said she was gonna do an album of the unreleased music but maybe she won't. Who knows. I can't say I feel hopeful I just feel......I don't the word for it. I'm just not getting an I'm done vibe from her.

I'm hopeful. Not holding my breath, but hopeful. I had a meeting with someone that was on the Moving Target tour last week while in New York (non-Lauryn related). And of course I couldn't take it and had to ask him if Lauryn was going to release a new album. He said that yeah, that's the plan. He told me that the reason there was so many people on tour was b/c she had producers and engineers out trying to record on the road. But after he said that his voice kind of tailed off and he shrugged his shoulders, shook his head and said I don't know. Lol. I got the impression that recording on the road didn't go so well. Not sure what came out of it. But as we all know Lauryn has plenty of music to share but something tells me she is in no rush and it will only be released if she thinks it needs to be. Maybe it's the perfectionist thing.

Yeah, I really hope so too. She did give us snippets of her new music during the mid 00s (2005/06). But she isn't putting out anything new on these tours, which makes me think that she is actually serious this time about releasing new music.

I think Erykah Badu sums up Lauryn quite accurately here. I think this is why Lauryn has never been in a rush to release new music. “Baduizm” marked the time in your career when you connected most strongly with the mainstream. At this point have you reached a comfortable balance between enjoying a certain level of commercial success and the creative freedom to do what you want? Erykah: "Yeah. I think that everyone on this show, from Mos Def to Lauryn Hill, is at a place where we have a lane, and we can do whatever we want at this point because we have cult followings. We are a tribe of people who are like-minded and feel what we do, and our only job is to be honest – that’s all we have to do right now. And that’s such a blessing, to be able to be that at this point, and to do that. I never underestimate the audience’s ability to be exactly where we are". blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2011/08/22/erykah-badu-on-revisiting-baduism-for-rock-the-bells/?mod=google_news_blog

Guys,i was searching for some news about Remy Shand few days ago.Do you know Remy Shand? He is a neo-soul singer from Canada,he is known for his only record-The Way I Feel that came out i guess it was in 2002.And do you know what i found?NOTHING.It was said that he´s been working on his next record in 2003,but nothing was released.Only one song in bad condition that was hard to get. What i´m trying to say is that we should be happy that we had enough of brilliant unreleased songs, some interviews, photos, new videos on the internet and some new info about Lauryn recording something. I´m sure Lauryn is gonna give us some new music in the future. She loves us,her fans.Didn´t she say that after a concert once?

One of her backup singers tweeted "Ms. Hill goes hard #studioflow" about an hour ago. So she is definitely working on something. Now we just wait and see.
