wow i need people like her around me)))))
it seems to me that what she needs is at least very little support from the one she can rely on......then she can heal herself really when u are young it's easier i guess but when u become a bit older and realize that u still have nobody around u to understand u......people come people go.......that's sad.....but if u manage to remain yourself then - that's a perfect way out from such situation.....tho it's almost impossible....but it's worth

Very good. Maybe now folks on these sites can stop spreading the rumor that there is an album called Call Me Ms. Hill...

That's a really great video. It was nice to hear the words coming straight from her mouth. Very sincere words.

big props for this video, great questions that L answered very smart (especially the question about Fugees reunion),bad it's sad to me that she can't even talk right,I think that she should stop with this long tours for some time, she needs a rest, and then she should hit us with some album that we'll never forget, remember,"Call Me Ms Hill" is coming in 2008.

Thanks for that. I've been waiting for such a long time for her to bless us with her words of truth. A televised interview is just what we need so the rumours and misconceptions can be finally cleared up.
Although when I saw it on YouTube I was angry to see that people were concentrating more on what she was wearing and her make-up but I guess it just shows how shallow people are, which is why they cant receive her message. But anyways I look forward to hearing more from Miss Hill, and I'm glad shes not letting these haters get the best of her....rock on!

That's a very good interview. She's such a mature woman...especially with the way she answers her questions. She makes every other musician, male or female an amatuer Love you Lauryn...take a break and enjoy the writing process

This "Call me Ms Hill" nonsense went all the way to Lauryn Hill. It's so funny seing her reaction to this made up story. Good that she clearified this rumour. Maybe this interview will also set an end to the rumour that Columbia Records is holding her back. She said she could have but out Music three years ago, but she said she didn't see a purpose in droping the "Khulami Phase" Project at the time.

Maybe this interview will also set an end to the rumour that Columbia Records is holding her back. She said she could have but out Music three years ago, but she said she didn't see a purpose in droping the "Khulami Phase" Project at the time. The name"Khulami Phase" was probably just a rumor too. I don't nessesarily think that her talking about releasing an album 3 years ago, proves that Columbia aren't holding her back. In the beginning of the interview she talks about pressure, but won't go into detail because it's a longer story - She could be talking about record label trouble there. Just guessing. I wish the interviewer would've asked her why she doesn't perform so much in the US anymore... And why she didn't play any of Unplugged tunes on this tour. Anyway, glad you enjoyed the interview!

I think that rumour was created by the statement during the Block Party about Columbia Records not clearing Lauryn Hills songs. Maybe Columbia put preasurre on her at that time to push her into a fugees reunion. But Lauryn said now, that "to expirience the high" her music needs alot of love and a purpose. I think she expirienced that with the soundtrack songs she did (Selah, The Passion and Lose Myself) and Columbia released those songs dispite their enourmous difference in style. On the other hand I guess the song we usually refer too as "Post-Unplugged" were too transitional and was something "she couldn't sit on", which could be the reason she stopped performing this music. That is why I also don't think any of these songs will be on her next album.
