AOL Music: FIRST LISTEN - hear songs first! She's only 19, but Joss Stone has already redefined her look and her sound. For her upcoming, appropiately-titled album 'Introducing Joss Stone,' the British singer took a more prominent role in the writing and recording process. Legendary producer Raphael Saadiq helped update her soulful sound, and the reclusive Lauryn Hill even came out of hiding to contribute vocals. Joss is ready to take on the airwaves with her catchy single, 'Tell Me 'bout It,' as well as 'Tell Me What We're Gonna Do Now,' featuring Common. Listen to these world premieres and get an exclusive preview of two more songs, plus commentary from Joss herself. 'Introducing Joss Stone' hits stores March 20. PREVIEW 3 of her new songs at music.aol.com/franchise/firstlisten/joss-stone-new-songsInlcuding "Music" (feat. Lauryn Hill)! "It's a very special song to me that I wrote with Novel. This song is my realization moment, when I realized I was wasting my time looking for an unconditional love in another human being. So far in my short little life, I haven't ever seen it completely. All love between all humans, I believe, is a tiny bit conditional. It's not like that with music. The only true unconditional love is music and God, for me. The fact that Lauryn Hill was inspired by it enough to write what she did is just is crazy to me. I prayed on that one hard. She's amazing. My biggest influences on the female side of music are Lauryn and Aretha, no doubt."

Joss collaborates with Lauryn HillIn a recent interview with MTV News International, Joss Stone spoke about what it felt like to collaborate with Lauryn Hill on her new album.
She expressed what she admires about Lauryn Hill, saying "I'm so inspired by that woman {Lauryn}, lyrically she's one of my favourites and her sound and her spirit, her flow, everything about that woman is like 'ah' I just love it! I love her, I always have".
She went on to say "People do talk a lot of s*** about her which isn't really fair because they don't know her".
Although Ms Stone did admit that the pair have never spoken before "I've never spoken to her in my life, she's on my album yes, but I've never had a conversation with her."
"She heard the song finally after two months of me calling her mum over and over and over and over again. Finally it got to her and she heard the song and she was inspired and went in that night and recorded it and sent it to us and it was that simple".www.mtv.tv/dynamo/shells/news.jhtml?article=100135209

yeah, that is interesting... So the song 'music' was meant for Stacie Orrico, but once Joss could get a hold of Lauryn on the track it changed everything. Well, i don't really have an opinion, all i can say is that it's there business what they do. We are just the audience and we can't control that. Good music is all we want.
