www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003533370As tipped here in November, U.K. vocalist Joss Stone will return this spring with her third album, "Introducing Joss Stone." Due March 20 via Virgin, the set was produced by Raphael Saadiq and features guest turns by Common ("Tell Me What We're Going To Do") and Lauryn Hill ("Music"). Other songs set to appear on the album include "Headturner," "Tell Me What We're Gonna Do Now," "Tell Me 'Bout It," "Nothing Better Than (The iPod Song)" and "I Wish I Never Met You." Additional contributions were provided by rapper/producer Novel (Kelis, India.Arie) and Beau Dozier, the son of Motown titan Lamont Dozier. "Introducing" is the follow-up to 2004's "Mind, Body & Soul," which debuted at No. 11 on The Billboard 200 and has sold more than 1.2 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Stone will preview new songs at two showcases in the coming weeks: Jan. 31 at Los Angeles' House of Blues and Feb. 8 at New York's Bowery Ballroom. As previously reported, she will also perform at a Princess Diana tribute concert July 1 at London's Wembley Stadium.

according to this article. ms hill is rapping www.accesshollywood.com/news/ah3558.shtmlBritish Songstress Joss Stone Readies New Album LOS ANGELES (January 17, 2007) -- Tom Cruise has a new reason to celebrate -- one of his favorite young artists, British neo-soul songstress Joss Stone will return with her third album March 20th. Though the celebrated chanteuse has already released two album's – 2003s The Soul Sessions and ‘04s Mind Body & Soul, Stone has titled her third effort Introducing Joss Stone because it is "truly me," the former Grammy nominee said in a release. "These are my words and this is who I am as an artist." Fugee Lauryn Hill is one of several guests lined up for effort. Hill appears rapping on Stone's new track "Music." Other collaborators on the effort include rapper Common, multi-talented producer Novel, and producer Beau Dozier who worked on Mind Body & Soul. After a spell writing lyrics on her own in Barbados, Stone also hooked up with super producer Raphael Saadiq, whose previous credits include work with Kelis, Mary J. Blige and Snoop Dogg. Stone will first introduce American audiences to her new material via two sold out shows, beginning January 31st at Los Angeles' House of Blues. She will also hit New York City's famed Bowery Ballroom, February 8th. posted by micmic at runboard

Stone set to rollFlower girl gives fans a preview of her new concert lineup By JANE STEVENSON
She may only be 19-years-old, but British soul sensation Joss Stone has grown up as a performer judging from her dynamite concert on Saturday night at The Docks.
Stone's once disorganized and frenzied energy, on full display the last time she played in Toronto at Massey Hall, has morphed into a more sophisticated and smooth style that's way beyond her years.
Although, truthfully, we still saw the little girl in the big, booming-voiced Stone on Saturday night, whether she was blowing gold fairy dust -- really -- on the audience before the best new song of the night, Music, or giggling uncontrollaby as she tried to finish up the last tune, Right ToBe Wrong, from her 2005 album, Mind, Body & Soul.
The bohemian in the barefoot Stone was also evident with dramatic pink streaks in her newly brown hair, a flowing white print halter dress that wouldn't have been out of place at Woodstock and a sheer, long, pink scarf hanging from her microphone stand.
Joined by a kick-ass 11-piece band, including Raphael Saadiq on guitar -- also the producer of her new album, Introducing Joss Stone, due in stores March 20 -- two of James Brown's horn players and three backup singers, Stone found her groove early on.
The strutting new song, Head Turner, flowed nicely into crowd favourite Super Duper Love (Are YouDiggin' On Me?) Pt. 1, from her 2003 debut, The Soul Sessions, plus other new funky, soulful tunes like Put Your Hands On Me, What We Gonna Do Now, What Were We Thinking and Tell Me About It were also among the set standouts.
Stone's show, announced on Friday morning at the last minute with tickets going for $20 a pop, was an exclusive affair with attendance limited to about 500 people when the club could have held at least twice as many.
Concert-goers competed with cameramen -- and a camera on a swinging crane overhead -- for a good view of Stone as the show was being filmed in high-definition for sympatico.ca.
Stone has been rehearsing for her new tour, expected to start in April, on and off at The Docks since early January.
And the road test of her new material -- 12 of the 15 songs over the course of the hour-and-10-minute set were from Introducing Joss Stone -- proved to be an inspired idea.
Saadiq, who is also the musical director of Stone's band and will be playing on the road with her, seems to have brought out her inner Aretha Franklin.
On the new disc, he's paired her up with hip-hop stars Lauryn Hill and Common, and with Brown's funky horn players on stage. As Stone herself said on Saturday night: "We're going to keep the spirit alive!"

The only thing I am a bit concerned about is the sound quality, since she did do her part via telephone.

The only thing I am a bit concerned about is the sound quality, since she did do her part via telephone. It should be okay, and i think it'll be a great song
