I'm starting this thread to ask what is happening with the two albums which are being talked about on this site. Is it true that Lauryn is only doing this Fugees album through contractual obligations?, Is it true Lauryn plans to hold back her best songs for her own Material?
I feel for her, as i know as much as people are anticipating the new fugees, album i know many of us are anticipating the new Lauryn Hill album.
If I'm honest I loved the score but i loved Mis-education more, and also quite liked Ecleftic, Thug Angels - a tune.
Another Question I would like to ask is... Can Lauryn freely express herself on a fugee album? To be honest i love Foxy and Wannabe, but I still feel like she is holding back! I think we can safely say she produced Foxy, as it seems to have her trademarks stamped all over it! And with wannabe it seems Clef was at the Helm.
On Foxy her skills were immense, but i still await the flow of that featured on Lost ones.
I pray we as a people get gifted with the talent displayed in The Score, The mis-education, and Ecleftic on this third Album whether it be the fugees third, or Lauryn's third.!!!!

BigD,
CORRECTION: Lauryn NEVER worked with KANYE! That report was false. Kanye addressed this in his MTV's "All Eyes ON Kanye West" interviewed by Sway .

Well, first of all, nobody really knows. What i DO know is that the Fugees music sounds very refreshing and I can't wait for a Fugee album whenever it comes. Lauryn herself said it was therapeutic and I think it is also therapeutic for hip-hop and music. Everybody knows in a group you become the group...so Lauryn Hill does Fugee music with the Fugees, but as solo artists each one of the members personas stand out more so the solo album will be pure Lauryn. While she's with the Fugees though, her lyrical messages are still powerful! Listen to the words she said on "wanna be" (take land back. demand it!) and "take it easy" (matthew, andrew and peter them)... Anyway they are truly on the same page far as being conscious emcees. I guess what I'm saying is all that matters is the music and the music will be beautiful no matter what's going on behind the scenes. They all take creativity very seriously. And thier creative energy together is what makes the Fugees the Fugees.
