I know you hate interviews. But you gotta write something/say something. I’m sick of people coming at you and your work. Yea at times maybe you weren’t all that pleasant to be around 😂, healing ain’t pretty, protecting yourself comes out in different ways and it’s not always the way in which people prefer it and being assertive as a black woman is not always appreciated or valued. Learning to be assertive can come out as “aggressive” when you’re first figuring out the two and sometimes people mistake assertiveness from black women as “aggression.” Strong women, weak men, they can’t handle it.
Aggression has its place though.
Growing and healing has phases, the more you grow and heal, the better you handle situations. All I know is that shit pissed me the fk off and all I wanted to do was go off 😂. It was something about it...
if you ever decide to write something about it or give an interview about it you gon have to make it in REAL SIMPLE TERMS, VERY BASIC because people are SLOW and don’t comprehend well at all. Basic vocabulary and sentences. You cannot get complex with these people. It has to literally be broken down like you’re spelling words 😂
I'm sorry but I’m really pissed lol

Why does she have to respond? Why give it fuel? In any event, what if what the man is saying is correct?
Feeling the need to defend one’s self is an egoic trait. With ego out of the way, one realizes that he doesn’t need to defend himself.
Further, none of us are the same person we were 10 years ago. Why invest time and energy into defending who you USE to be?

I hope she does do that someday Yes that’s one way to respond and probably a more impactful one down the road😂 and she doesn’t have to respond. I was just heated in the moment and felt like she was getting hit from all angles. I’m protective is all 😂. Again, I get the quietness for a few reasons. A defense is a defense, no matter how you package it (album or statement). Lauryn has defended herself in the past on different matters, but she does it very diplomatically and intelligently. Nothing wrong with people defending themselves. I wouldn’t want my work and value tarnished by lies, period. He’s lying...at least about the album. Everything else I can’t personally validate, but if true imo could simply be vestiges of someone healing and who might’ve been going through some things or a combination of that and someone’s assertiveness being regarded as aggression or someone asserting themselves but it possibly coming out aggressively, frustrated idk. Number of possibilities. But Healing has phases, which can take time to completely rid yourself of. But people aren’t robots, we have a range of emotions and you’ll have your good days and not so good ones, allow folks that. There is is nothing wrong with ego unless it’s exaggerated or filled with grandiosity or pretentiousness, which has an undercurrent of insecurity,that’s what usually drives people to do certain things. He’s placing reference on the past as if it’s present and people will run with that. |

Oh trust me i feel you on everything you are saying!!!!!!!! that damn robert glasper has a ego and it came out in that interview!!!! But everyone knows that the new ark musicians took advantage of her success! In the lawsuit they said how they only helped with 2 songs but felt as if they weren't credited enough!!! AT THE END OF THE DAY IT WAS ABOUT WANTING MORE MONEY! While recording the album she paid them over 100k and gave them full publishing rights!!! So its obvious that they were greedy!
Lauryn Hill Is a super Strong Black woman, and you wanna know why i feel that way? Its because Ive seen a lot of black men go to the media to bash her, and im guessing to get her to respond? lmao which is a fail cause lauryn hasn't said a damn thing in reference to these men for a whole decade and a half!! So its very obvious that she does not give a f**k, and why would she! She put out an album that was her vision and it sold more records than wyclefs catalog and robert galsper's dated catalog. On top of that the woman has 5 beautiful kids with one of the Marleys!!! and she still sells out shows like its 1998! So in essence who really won...LAURYN HILL!

Dear Robert is upset with Lauryn because of the Nina Simone tribute album. He was supposed to produce the whole album, but they brought Lauryn in at the last minute. The album he produced did not have the essence of Ms. Simone. His attempt with all the big names was simply a cover album. Lauryn was brought in and she recorded and produced all of them songs within a few days. She was hoarse at the Appollo screening because she had reocrded all night. He mentions the album in the last 30 secs. If you notice his tone changes when he talks about the album. She produced her half all by her little self. He contradicted his whole rant in those 30 seconds.
If you recall it was Lauryn's reindition of "Feeling Good" that got all of the attention. It was her and her band at the premiere of the movie at the Apollo. She invited Jazmine Sullivan to preform with "her" band. Lauryn attended the Oscar's when the movie was nominated. She was mentioned in all the articles. So, don't let his misplaced anger fool you.

lol wayment! Was that you on youtube? lol... I was all up and down that damn comment section lol. I was so pissed lol.It was the way in which it was done, not so much that it was talked about because the info has been out there for years, as convoluted as it was and is with all sorts of lies wrapped into it, but this negro make it sound like she DID NOTHING, which made it 100x worse. Yes I saw all of those pressed men (and some women) trynna go in on her. Robert is only able to do the type of music he does in large part because of Lauryn and others, pre, during and post. It sounds like he either was a groupie and/or thought he was on equal par or above Lauryn in some capacity. He's a very insecure person (we all have some insecurities about something, but this dude he on the extreme end). People who believe his nonsense are uhh special lol, ijs I know!!! lol I was thinking to myself, Lauryn prob ain't giving two shits about this lol! It was more of me wanting her to respond, in fact it speaks volumes that she didn't (I kinda still want her to lol, kinda petty? maybe idk lol, depends on how it's done I suppose, I always feel like people should defend their character when it's being mauled at lol). I could tell he wanted a reaction from her with the way he did it. His EGO is out of this WORLD lol. It's one thing to have an intact healthy ego, it's another to try and disparage someone else while showing your true colors in the same breath lol I'm real protective of Lauryn (that don't mean I won't call her out...balanced basis...
