www.karmalooptv.com/2011/07/lrg-presents-the-wonder-year-rapsody-kid-daytona-skyzoo-and-yung-guruRapper 9th Wonder says this: “A lot of people think of Hip Hop, the Lauryn Hill-esque female MCs is missing from the game. I don’t think it’s necessarily that. I don’t think it’s a situation where female MCs or female rappers are missing from the game. We have female rappers,” he said, noting Nicki Minaj, Jean Grae, Rah Digga and more. “We have MCs in the game. I think what’s missing is it’s been a while since somebody has shown us what’s beautiful about Hip Hop.”

Keisha Buchanan empowered by Lauryn Keisha Buchanan felt ''empowered'' listening to Lauryn Hill when she was yunger. Keisha Buchanan felt "empowered" by Lauryn Hill's music as a child. The 26-year-old singer - who was replaced in the Sugababes by Jade Ewen in 2009 following a spat with fellow member Amelle Berrabah - loves the 'Doo Wop (That Thing)' hitmaker and found she has learnt about herself from her songs. She said: "I love the album 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' because it's so timeless and everything she says in it is so real. "I learned something from her. Her voice is so effortless. There's no one like her. My favourite song is 'Doo Wop (That Thing)' - as a teenager it made me feel empowered and taught me to respect myself." The London-born star also had great respect for civil rights fighter Martin Luther King because of the "difference" he helped inspire. She added to New magazine: "I admire anyone that makes a positive change. What Martin Luther King did for the civil rights movement was incredible. He really made a difference. I respect him so much." www.list.co.uk/article/35537-keisha-buchanan-empowered-by-lauryn/

Jace Everett What performer would you most likely want to write or perform with?Oh man, that's tough. There's so many. That changes depending on when you ask me. But I'd love to do something with Lauryn Hill; I always hope one day she'll stumble across an article and call me. It's fun to work with female artists just because of the dynamic male and female match up, there' something really special about that. I wouldn't of expected Lauryn Hill.Well, she's one of the greatest singers out there. blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/uponsun/2011/07/jace_everett.php

John Forte:
@16:30 John Forte tells how Lauryn introduced him to the Fugees. The entire video is 24 minutes but worth taking a little time to watch. John has an interesting story, and listening to him on the acoustic guitar( he's really good) reminds me of Lauryn's "Unplugged." It would be awesome if they could do something together.
And this is just for nostalgia's sake, Lauryn and John Forte "The Sweetest Thing"-I couldn't resist.

Tameka Foster-Raymond:Fate must have been working the day that Tameka happened to meet the soon-to-blossom Ms. Hill in an elevator, circa 1995. After a Fed Ex mishap with the singer’s former stylist Tameka got the chance of a lifetime and quickly offset her in a striking pastel pink skirt and matching wrap around top when she took to the stage to croon “Killing Me Softly” alongside Roberta Flack at the 1996 MTV Movie Awards. Lauryn snatched the sensational stylist and the rest is history. Tameka went on to establish Lauryn Hill as one of America’s top fashion forces and created a look that is still emulated by top designers worldwide. In Style Magazine once said, “Lauryn Hill’s funky style is always a hit. Tameka Foster, Hill’s fashion stylist combines hot pieces with the latest street wear- from new French designer Barbara Bui to Byblos to the Gap- to create the singer’s winning looks Tameka’s work with Lauryn Hill graced the covers of top magazines Harpers Bazaar, Esquire, GQ, Rolling Stone, Seventeen, People, Teen People, Source, Vibe and Details. She worked on “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” album packaging, music videos, performances, television appearances, U.S. and European tours as well as a myriad of award shows. “Working with Lauryn taught me a lot. She is a total perfectionist and commands only the best. In that, we are a lot alike. Lauryn shared a very important piece of advice with me once saying that in fashion, ‘less is more’ and I have always agreed with that fashion philosophy in both my professional and personal life. You don’t have to overdo it, over match, over accessorize- sometimes the most simplistic of things just work and say a lot more.” hellobeautiful.com/special-features/dbennett/exclusive-tamekas-camp-responds-to-internet-voicemail-hoax/

Chrisette Michele:AHHA: Who would you say are some current artists that you feel you identify with? Chrisette: I identify with most artists, just because at the end of the day we’re all people who communicate to the world through song. I think that is the biggest connection that we all have, to communicate like you said, with a lot of people at the same time. But as far as my sound is concerned, Jill Scott, Lauryn Hill, Ella Fitzgerald, Sara Vaughn. AHHA: You’ve been compared to and referred to as the next Lauryn Hill? How does that feel? Chrisette: Really? Oh man! That is nice! Well I guess that’s how it feels! [laughs] I just heard that for the first time. [laughs] You know what? When her CD first came out, I literally rewound every single riff and practiced it over and over until I got it. I did that with the [artists] who I loved the most like Billie [Holiday] and Ella [Fitzgerald], so [Lauryn Hill] happens to be one of those people. allhiphop.com/stories/alternatives/archive/2007/06/18/18160601.aspxSN: Isn't it funny how many new female artists get stamped as the new or next Lauryn Hill J. Cole:Roc Nation's J. Cole has opened up about his biggest collaboration hopefuls and said he would love an opportunity to snag music veterans Andre 3000 and Lauryn Hill. From Cole's perspective, a collaboration with either artist would be a dream come true. "I got a lot of people I would love to work with, but before I feel like they stop doing music for good because you never know, I would love to work with Andre 3000," Cole told radio host/rapper Nelly referring to the OutKast member. "And Lauryn Hill. I feel like I would love [to collaborate with them], because any moment with them, any moment it could just stop. I would love to work with one of them. There's others, I would like to get Kanye on a track, something of that realm." (Rap-Up) www.sohh.com/2010/08/andre_3000_lauryn_hill_are_dream_collabo.html

SH: Why was Rohan always carrying that cane looking thing, lol? ;D What was up with that? Your welcome. And I'm not exactly sure, but I always thought Rohan's cane was for religious purposes (Rastafarian). I remember one award clip where Rohan had the Imperial Ethiopian flag, and what looked like a cane attached to it. So I assumed the cane was in fact the stick of the flag, but I never got a good view of it.
