There's an expression I grew up hearing that's been credited to the Native American, "Don't judge a man (woman) until you've walked a mile in his (her) shoes." Somebody tell this to Beyonce. I commend and applaud L Boogey for doing what she had to do. Beyonce, I forgive you. You're young. (I know when I was 25, that was 26 years ago I didn't know that I didn't know s...t from shinola either. Lauren has more talent in her pinky toe than Beyonce has in all of her curves. B can hold a tune, but she aint singing 'bout no thing, nada, not a nathaniel. To quote partner-dude on Lil Kim's song, "Shut up, b..ch.

I can't believe you guys are getting all in that and believing this whole thing. Did one of you really hear B say that? They media turnes words just so they like it and gives a good story just like they did with lauryn after the unplugged. You guys should know better. But your energy in something else and not go for this whole B said something bad about L thingy this is childish.

The point is, BEYONCE NEVER said she is determined not to lose herself like Lauryn Hill. That was just another MEDIA TRICK to make the interview MORE INTERESTING, EYE CATCHY and CONTROVERSIAL (all three main ingrediants to make "a story" succesful in tabloid press nowadays).
BEYONCE only SAID she "is determined not to lose herself" (the -like lauryn hill - part was added by the writer).
IT IS UP TO THE READER TO READ CAREFULLY!!!
CHECK that the determine-not-to-lose-myself-part is written in inverted commas = direct QUOTE!!! The lauryn-hill-part IS NOT!!!
peacE!

I came on this site a year ago so that I can be continually aware of Tours and album release dates. I am not going to bash Beyonce!!! Most times the media shows things as if they were, and they truly are not. Everyone who knows me knows that I love Lauryn Hill more than anything, and any other singer. With that being said, I listen to Lauryn. Laury herself- somewhere along the lines was talking about that BAD media; and so have other artist. So all those who want to defend Lauryn- she doesn't need us to do that. Let people say, think, or do what they want. Let's just pray that we get to hear another great tune from Lauryn really soon.!!!

Ok,first Lauryn was kinda lost, but to say,in context. She felt she should stop and she didn`t wanted to perform. It`s ok.Now,Beyonce has built her carrier (first noticable work) with Clef (single "No no no" with Destinys child) so she was kinda introduced to the whole Refugee thing, than Pras joined in for the remix of another song, again with Clef.Destinys made it to the top in 1997,right? with above mentioned track and Lauryn was still with Fugees, she was popular.PERIOD.In 1998,Lauryn was nominated for (and won) five grammys, the first women in history, and was on top in 98`.Lauryn stopped her artistry for a while (to have children) and then later had issues with herself (first w Clef, than egoes went nowhere),and she simply STOPPED making music (except second live album),so we could negotiate what WOULD happen if Lauryn stayed in the music bussiness BUT Lauryn NEVER did (not a single track) nothing to be TOP NOTCH popular, she was being an ARTIST,DIVA,call it whatever. She didin`t banged with Jay-z just so she could be more and more and more popular.People sometimes don`t understand,ok...money IS FINE.Say it again, money is fine, but WHO THE f**k THINKS that money can buy your artistry? It can buy your record budget, producers, songwritters etc.but if you`re being a poor singer, than it`s worth NOTHING. Some facts about Beyonce:she also won 5 Grammys like Lauryn. She moved on and on,and she`s still being nominated.Nobody can`t denigh it.So i`m not saying she isn`t still on top,it`s the problm in artistry.Beyonce will never be LAURYN.And why does Beyonce talks like she will never have a personal crisis!? It could happen man,and than what? People adress various good and bad things to Lauryn, cos` she didn`t wanted a system to help her! She doesn`t need even Beyonce(i personally like her) and she will do the music when she wanna do that.HOW SIMPLE IS THAT?Beyonce is now trying to say like "I grew up on Lauryn`s music but i`m happy she isn`t in the game so i can still be the best".Than i sad f**k THAT!Lauryn is the example of a real modern artist!Even some folks (from this forum) know that i personally like Pras and Clef more than Lauryn. The only thing i want to happen is for Lauryn to finally (if she`s ready) settle some things with the Fugees and to see what would happen...PEACE PEOPLE.

Beyonce needs to sit her fat ass down! She can't touch Lauryn. Compared to Lauryn, Beyonce is like a bland, unintelligent dancing black Barbie doll

Seriously, for me, watching Beyonce perform and shake her jelly ass at me is as exciting as watching paint dry. Whereas I cannot take my eyes of Lauryn. She and her gorgeous gorgeous voice are just mesmerizing. And she doesn't need to rock a ratty blonde weave (like Ms Knowles) to be sexy either.

Just correcting you on the grammy's part. Lauryn was nominated for 10 grammys that year. If you go to wikipedia it explains to you which grammies are the ones you aim to win. This is good info 'The Big Four', are the most prestigious grammy awards of all
Record of the Year Album of the Year Song of the Year (awarded to the songwriter only) Best New ArtistHere is their grammy history Lauryn (1996)Fugees - Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal: Killing Me Softly With His Song Fugees - Best Rap Album: The Score Lauryn (1998)Best R&B Album - The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill Best Rhythm & Blues Song 1998 - Doo Wop (That Thing) Album Of The Year - The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill Lauryn Hill Best New Artist - Lauryn Hill Best Female R&B Vocal Performance - Doo Wop (That Thing) Two of her solo grammies were two of 'The Big Four' Beyonce (2003)Best Rap/Sung Collaboration - Crazy In Love Featuring Jay-Z Best Contemporary R&B Album - Dangerously In Love Best R&B Song - Crazy In Love Featuring Jay-Z Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals - The Closer I Get To You Beyoncé & Luther Vandross Best Female R&B Vocal Performance - Dangerously In Love 2 If you look at Beyonce's wins, none of them are part of 'The Big Four' but nevertheless she did win 5 grammies in one night. So it shows you technically who has a better record in the industry. The only other females close to Lauryn are Alicia Keys and Norah Jones.
