LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Grammy-winning artists Norah Jones and Wyclef Jean have recorded a single, "Any Other Day," to benefit relief efforts following Hurricane Katrina, publicists said on Thursday.
All proceeds from the song, which was scheduled for release on Friday exclusively as a download on MSN Music, will go to the Red Cross and AmeriCares to aid victims of Katrina, spokesman Matt Hanks said.
"As a child growing up in Haiti I experienced the wrath and destructive power of hurricanes," said Jean, a member of reunited hip-hop trio the Fugees. "My heart is filled with tears for the victims and all those who have lost loved ones in Hurricanes Katrina and Rita."
