Is it me or Wyclef Jean sold out? I mean if I compare him to Lauryn Hill, ([glow=red,2,300]who didn't make songs with Tom Jones or The Rock, thank god[/glow]) it seems like he went the easy way.
Looks like he's been trying to sell as many albums as he could since the Carnival releasing clichés "to gain the whole world for the price of his soul". Don't get me wrong tho, I love Wyclef Jean's beats and work but I can't really agree and relate anymore with what he says in his lyrics.
It's kinda weird, he seems to be pro-peace for a few songs then disses Pras and releases gangsta rap songs afterwards...
Let me know what you guys think

to tell you the truth, I think you have a point saying that wyclef is trying to produce as many Albums as He can. I mean...who doesn't??? That's what being an artist is. Try your beST TO satisfy the fans that WILL NEVER GET ENOUGH OF YOU> Personally, i wish Wyclef could have produced 10 more albums. Wyclef is my hero, he is the only artist that i have ever loved so much, he is like my second god!!!

"I think you have a point saying that wyclef is trying to produce as many Albums as He can. I mean...who doesn't That's what being an artist is. "
I disagree. That's not what being an artist is all about. Being a real artist to me is about living, creating and producing something when you feel ready to do it and once you feel the final product translates what you wanted to say or do at the beginning of your artistic process whatever it was.
It's not about quantity it's about quality. And it's not about what others want to hear but it's about what you have to say. That's what being a real artist is all about.
And that's why I'm saying Wyclef sold out. I think he's only making songs to sell as many records as he can. He is making what OTHERS want him to do, not what he really aspires to. Why do you think he invited THE ROCK to feature on "It doesn't matter"? Because he'a got a great voice? No. Because he's a good wrestler? Certainly not. He just wanted the attention from the Medias to sell even more records.
Lauryn Hill on the other hand represents to me what a *real* artist is all about. She made an Unplugged Album that was not perfect, and that's ok. But that's HOW she felt like doing it. And she knew that her Unplugged Album was not gonna sell as much as the Miseducation. But she felt she had something to say and she did it incredibly well if you ask me.
It is so much easier to say what others want to hear. And so much harder to say what you really think as an individual.

Bro, I think i know what your problem is. You're just a crazy fan of Ms. Hill; that's all. Anyway, there's nothing wrong with that!!! Comme je suis fou du "PETIT DIABLE DE LA CARAIBE" Wyclef!!! I had this to ask you: Do i really get what you mean when you say that "WYCLEF IS SOLD OUT"? Brother, i'm telling you, do not ever let fanatism make you say what you were not supposed to say. I love Clef, but that doesn't mean I'm going to talk trash about Lauryn Hill, why would i??? Pras, Lauryn, and Wyclef themselves do not want me to be arguing with people about them that way. Remember what Lauryn said, "love and respect to Clef, the one i'm proud of". And recetly on 106 & Park, Clef said if AJ & Free would get them all (Clef, Pras, Jean Forté, and Lauryn) together at a round table, he would be more than happy to be there with them.
I mean... they are trying to make room for peace, why would you and i be arguing about little stuff like that??? Man........ I'm not here to say profane things about anyone, i just feel like you're saying stuff that you don't even know about my Idol. I didn't know about Wyclef since the day i was born; his musics (from the score to the preacher's son),and his morality (from rele, to dyaspora, to Industry, and to Next Generation), make me come all the way from Aix-en-Provence (FRANCE), to love him so much as a respectable Haitian.

"they are trying to make room for peace"
Not really Clef just made a song dissing Pras plus Pras said in a Rolling Stone interview Clef was the poison of the Fugees and that he messed up everything...
Plus Pras officially quit the Fugees.
It's not fanatism, I *love* Lauryn Hill AND Wyclef..but I'm trying to be as objective as possible here. I'm just saying making a song with Tom Jones and THE ROCK is just yet another way for Clef to sell as many albums as he can. And making pro-peace songs while making violent ones at the same time...Contradicting himself trying to please everyone
And yeah to me that's selling out - When you forget what you were doing all this for at the beginning of your career just to make more and more money, that, to me, is selling out.
Much Love, BoboPeanut
