I don't know much about shooting music videos, but don't they usually play some music? lol Maybe it is a documentary or something. I was actually thinking the same thing. But maybe he isn't allowed to release the song so he waited for a non music part? Or maybe she is shooting for one of the songs on the Nina Simone project. No body knows lol

Be willing to bet that the video is related to this campaign for Bono. He was there the Friday before Lauryn arrived. Her video seems to center around a seamstress. African superstars, Bono in campaign to empower women
Irish rock star Bono speaks during an interview with the Associated Press in Lagos, Nigeria Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, African stars and rock star Bono say music can help push for the empowerment of women globally. Bono and the top African male musicians D'banj, Diamond and Banky W announced Friday that they will be included in a remix of the song "Strong Girl" - a rallying cry for women's empowerment which features top African female talent. AP PHOTO / SUNDAY ALAMBA By TOM ODULA and CAELAINN HOGAN Associated Press Posted 2:37pm on Friday, Aug. 28, 2015 LAGOS, Nigeria African stars joined U2 frontman Bono on Friday in a campaign to use music to help empower women around the world. Bono and top African male musicians D'banj, Diamond and Banky W announced that they will be included in a remix of the song "Strong Girl," a rallying cry for women's empowerment which features top African female talent. Bono, whose ONE advocacy group is the creative force behind the campaign for women's empowerment, said music can create awareness and help shift policies because politicians are driven by popular things. "Politicians in the end have to be elected, and what is popular drives all of their decisions. It's that simple. So if the subject is popular among the electorate, then it suddenly dawns on politicians that this is a subject they, too, feel strongly about," Bono told reporters. Sipho Moyo, Africa executive director of ONE, said the campaign hopes to create structural and policy changes globally that will ensure women are empowered. The ultimate goal is to eradicate extreme poverty in 2030, Moyo said. Moyo said next month's U.N. meeting that will set the world's development agenda for the next 15 years should focus on boosting women's access to health, economic empowerment and political participation. That agenda addresses issues ranging from ending poverty "in all its forms everywhere" to ensuring quality education and affordable and reliable energy. It will be adopted at a summit just before the annual meeting of world leaders at the General Assembly in late September. www.dfw.com/2015/08/28/1024503/african-superstars-bono-in-campaign.html

Oh naw, I sincerely hope Lauryn is in no way associating herself with Bono or the UN. What a setback for female empowerment that would be! I for one would be sorely disappointed and very surprised.
I think, and hope she is working on her own music and video.

If the U.N or Bono were doing relevant work that really help people, without turning them into neo-colonized, it would be known !

Reading it again, I'm even more sure it's not Lauryn they're referring to, as wouldn't they more likely refer to her as being African American?
About Bono and the UN, where would you begin? Both are wolves in sheeps clothing. By their fruits ye shall know them. I trust neither. Both of their agendas written in double-speak, if they say the aim is to eradicate poverty by 2030 (how many times have we heard that before?), you can assume the opposite outcome will manifest. Notice Bono gets richer, UN gets more and more powerful, and the poor get poorer. Agenda 21, Agenda 2030, all of it benefits the corporations, none of it will benefit the people. Mouthpiece and agents of the oppressor, both.
Just my opinion. That's why I'd be disappointed and surprised if Lauryn Hill was working with either of them.
I'm not trying to convince anyone, just sharing because I was asked.
Love! x

People make all sorts of speculation and links where there's no evidence to suggest what they are purporting.
