I was quite surprise that Wyclef accepted to replace Lauryn... Hop he won't say too much thing not nice about her :/ Well Montreux had a really good idea because if they had planned someone in the same style as Lauryn (for exemple Jazzmine sullivan, Ndambi or someone else..) It would have been just a pale copy of her and in all case the level would have been very low compared as Lauryn. With Wyclef this is another style, male voice and he was in the fugees so..... Really well done!

this is wishful thnking. IT IS NOT realistic to think that the management / agents plan a european tour with several dates without having the artist agree on it. pure bullshit. sorry to be this blunt. This can happen, all artist are not involved in the process of scheduling tours (they are rehearsing). That's why they have assistants, managers, and all that crap! It might've happened, since you don't know her don't be so quick to say what did and didn't happen!

Following the sad and untimely death of Michael Jackson I am more appreciative of Lauryn Hill to have cancelled her concerts especially when ill-health was cited. I would rather be waiting years for her to surface than having to know that there will never be anymore of Lauryn Hill.
I am a very patient person, my love and respect for Lauryn Hill and her music is unconditional and I hope you guys, who were extremely disappointed by her canceled concerts and feel compelled to hate her, understand that she has 5 (possibly 6) children who come first and need her more than we do. I have no doubt she will come back to us when the time is right and I will still be waiting for her in anticipation.

I will miss Michael Jackson so much and I think he may have lived had he not pushed himself so hard for his tour dates in Europe. The most important thing in the world is to take care of yourself! Michael Jackson, THE MOST IMPORTANT MAN MUSIC WILL EVER SEE is gone possibly because he was overworked. I would not want that same thing to happen to Lauryn Hill. People appreciate these wonderful people while they are here. BET did a beautiful thing tonight for Michael Jackson but imagine how much more beautiful it would've been if the camera could've kept turning to catch Michael's facial expressions! Then it could've really been a celebration instead of a bittersweet experience. I will miss him sooo much (I'm about to cry now) and I will pray for the Jackson family and I HOPE YOU WILL NOT TALK ABOUT MICHAEL NEGATIVELY, YOU WOULD NOT WANT YOUR FAMILIES TALKED ABOUT LIKE THIS AND PLS KEEP THIS IN MIND WHEN YOU GET READY TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT HIM!

I don't think its right to rush a performer into touring and performing. We always want a great show, so why are we rushing to see one that probably hasn't even been through rehearsals?? Maybe that is why she cancelled her shows because she wasn't ready. We have to respect her decision, and not be pushy. I think its okay to send a letter to her management, but i wouldn't expect a lot.

ummm...I'm not sure this would be a good idea. Unless you were just writing to say how much you're inspired by her. BUT put yourself in her shoes would you want someone you've never met sending a letter to your house; it would probably keep me alert trying to see if someone was watching me, you know? So just do what you feel is right but please don't rush her into coming back.

I think the member iyenaigonliberatezimbabwe was saying that he/she was to send a letter to Lauryn's manager expressing concern as a fan. Now i'm sure her manager has received a lot of letters in regards to Lauryn's tour already. I doubt Lauryn herself will reply to these letters, or even read them. That is the job of a manager...to organise all of these affairs...that is why they are paid.

I think we can do nothing, but only wait for another tour. Then we'll buy ticket and hope she'll come healthy.... And for the letter.... don't think it's a good idea. Even if we don't know exactly the reasons why she cancelled her tour, she should have had reasons which appears good to her........ In my point of vue I don't always agree with few things she did or said or showed BUT I just love her music and voice so I'll buy again and again tickets for her shows....

There are certain things Lauryn has done that in our eyes was wrong, but being a fan means understanding that no one is perfect. The continueed support is what they need.

I just found an interview of Claud Nobs (montreux jazz's foundator) ... I was wondering if you knew about this ... :
You have to remember that recently in Tokyo, Lauryn came on stage, turned her arms to sky, said " I am God" and disappeared .
