Hi, what a sh** f**k**´ concert. I paid 60 bugs for one Ticket. They had a delay of one and a half hour. Why? Because Miss Hill won´t come out! The Sound was sh*t f**k** bad! The Mic´s are too loud, too loud bass in the music. They played 1 1/2 hours and it ends like ...... ?? The only guy that really rocks the night was Wyclef!!!!! (sorry for my bad english i´m drunk ;D )

Hi Folks,
Even if I wouldn't say it with this hard words, I must agree with the conclusion of hoeschen. The Sound was absolutely horiible. Because of the very bad PA and mixing everything sounded more like a row, then music. The Quality of the sound at the most schoolband-concerts I've been to sounded better than this... (Over 20 loud and long feedbacks can't be called professional) The second really bad thing was the location, color line arena. Normally this hall has a capacity of about 15.000 people. At the Fugees concert maximum 3000 people were there. Although they made the arena smaller by hanging some curtains, the mood was not like it would have been if either the arena would have been sold out or they would have played in a smaller location (like docks in hamburg) And now to the baddest thing of the whole show: The End. Just after I thought that the sound and the mood has gotten better they performed a song, went off the stage and the lights turned on. There was no 'Goodbye', 'Thank you', or 'have a nice evenenig'. They just disapeared and that was it. You can't treat your fans like this. After keep us waiting for the begining of the show for over 1 Hour without any apologies, the end of the show was the rudest thing I've ever seen in a concert.
After paying over 90 Euros for our two tickets and having pleasent anticipation for 3 months I must say now that this concert was the biggest dissapointment since a long time. It hurts me to say, because I've been a huge fugees fan since 'blunted on reality', but this show was the worst ever.
I would be initerested in hearing other opinions, especially regarding the sound of the pa. Me and my peoples who went with me considering to ask the presenter for a refund.

i really hope cologne will be better if i hear this.. i cant wait.. only 12 days left !!!! ))))) Better check how the ticketsales have been so far ... If they lack, prepare for a second Hamburg. I've said it here and there already, but oh well ... Damn, it must have been the worst concert I've ever been to. I can deal with a 90-minute delay. I can try to deal with the no-smoking policy inside the Color Line Arena. A fur-slinging Lauryn Hill though - that raises at least one eyebrow. Whoever did the sound-mix - it was either his first time at the job, or he was deaf. Maybe both, but whatever the case may have been, I had to take some breaks outside, because the sound was just bad and almost made my ears bleed. I doubt that the show enjoyed any rehearsals beforehand, because the vocals of Wyclef, Lauryn, and Pras (and they are supposed to be a tight-ass team) were pretty far from being tight. So much for impressions. When we left the show (early), someone told us that Mrs. Hill had stayed at her hotel until 9.15pm (show was supposed to start at 8pm), because only 2.500 tickets had been sold - she actually wanted to cancel the show for that reason, but obliged to play a downsized show (30%) in order not to get sued. In my opinion, a long-time washed-up act like The Fugees can be really happy to sell this many tix - who the f**k does that biaaat** think she is? Poor Wyclef had to go up on stage and make up some freestyle about having been busted by the cops - yeah, right. Choosing a smaller venue would have been a good idea. So, now it's not only the hairdo, which horribly reminds me of Whitney Houston with a nose full of 'caine, but Lauryns behaviour as well. What happens to a song with a tender atmosphere when the singer shouts it out like a maniac? It's being fuckin' killed! That whole show was a fluke ... I feel really sorry for the musicians, that they have to go through a joke like this. The Fugees are done, it's over. Sorry folks.

Muahahahaa, this is really funny ... The f-word ends up with stars in the middle, but a simple "b-i-t-c-h" becomes "biaaatch". Hey, that almost makes up for the whack-butt concert.

Review from the frankfurter Rundschau It is really strange that they only got positive things to say about the concert ???and these are journalists, they don't have to be polite. Know what I mean? I believe it when people here say that the show was really bad, but how does it come that we always have these controverse opinions?

Be it through free tickets for the journalists and their kids, or through advertising. So, a journalist who tears a concert organized by an advertiser apart stands a good chance to simply lose his job. There's no such thing like honest journalism anymore (except maybe ... my blog).

Both during L's tour this summer and also the current Fugees tour - I guess loads of reporters lost their jobs, or what? I think the review was positive, because the reporter really did enjoy the show.

Invisible Man was wondering about the positive review in a German newspaper, and being a freelance journalist I pretty much know what's happening in their (German) offices. Maybe it's not all bad, who knows. Maybe the media does want to put an end to Mrs. Hill's career - I can't tell. I do know, however, the the dpa (German Press Agency) got a shitload of tickets for free, and that the usual reaction of a newspaper after recieving gifts is a positive review. You do the math.
