Its not big of a news but I just came across this: Kanye West calls in a radio show and presents a piece of rap off his upcoming new album. One verse includes: “Lauryn Hill said her heart was in Zion. More drama for the Japan tour date at the end of this month.
Im telling ya'll, if that really happens and they both really do show up... all the reporters and journalists better be ready for the backstage drama. lol.
Who knows, they might just surpirse everyone and take it all on stage.

We also know how he has used her music without her permission; refused to let her perform with him at the mtv awards; got publicity for supposedly working on tracks for her, etc, etc.....so....... he might be a happy camper no doubt...but she isnt! My hope is that they have worked something out behind the scenes, and come out and shock the hip hop community. That would make music history! Both of them on the same stage, or even collaborating on an album. |

FYI
Kanye didn't use lauryns voice without her permission, That is why Selena Johnson singing on the song ( all falls down) on the album. And as far as her performing with him at the MTV awards. It was suggested by an MTV producer that they MIGHT!!, be able to get lauryn to perfrom with him, but Kanye had already bought Selena Johnson's ticket, so he didn't refuse to perform with her, he had other plans. Im sure lauryn was never asked, desired or intended to perform with kanye. And getting Publicity off supposedly working on tracks, that was sometimg that columbia stated. They hired him, but that he was so busy with other projects that he was kicked hers
MTV cleared it up he had never even meet lauryn hill

FYI I never said that Kanye used Lauryn's "voice". I KNOW what he did!  I said he used her "music". And as far as ur "other" comments, I have addressed those in the past. I/we, know allll about Kanye. Infact, in a very recent interview, Kanye himself admitted that he does use, tweek, manipulate, interpret and reinterpret other ppl's work. |

I guess you could consider an interpolation as using someones music, which he would not have to get permission for. I just don't believe lauryn hill is small minded enough to be upset about something like that. MY POINT was that he didn't refuse to let her perform at mtv awards and that he didn't use her for publicity that was something columbia put in the air its wrong to imply that "she's not a happy camper" there is no lauryn hill & Kanye West beef period!  |
